Gardens Glorious Gardens and Some Knitting

Local Pond and Backyard Gardens are showing off today and tomorrow.  The Tortoise above is GUMP.
He's going to live forever.  Seriously they live to two hundred years old.  The nurses in me wants to know about his heart rate ,his heart muscle, his steps per day!  Slow and steady must win some race somewhere~

The running water in the ponds is such a peaceful sound.
Some of the places were a bit wacky, and all involved lots of gardening.

This pretty sunflower was growing right out of a compost pile.
Al this sunflowers for you!
To throw a bit of knitting in -
This is the Kaffe Fassett Unwind Wrap.
It is glorious and it is expensive.
It uses 10 balls of Kidsilk Haze.
At 15.00 per ball that's a pricey wrap.
I love the colors and will copy them in some other knit way soon I'm sure.
This is the end of the fun for today.
Hi ho Off to work I go-

Special thanks to all who go over to my other blog:

I love the wrap--fyi it is a free pattern from Rowan, although you have to register for the website. But the pattern is basically just knitting two rows of different colors. I've got a small bag of Kidsilk Haze that I may knit this just to use it all up. Plus I've got a few other similar yarns (not as nice) that I could work in there too. Thanks!

Lovely post!
No garden here this year. Not even a pot of herbs on the deck. It all got away from me. Spring came and went too quickly.

I wish our garden hadn't been decimated by the deer. Thank you for sharing pretty pictures!

Kathy, I've loved reading back through your past several posts, but still haven't found your thoughts on starting another blog... I'm going to have to head there to check it out. LOVE your Como tank. It looks beautiful on you! As for that wrap.... I'm drooling. ;) Addicts beware. hee hee.

Thank you so much for your kind words. {{big hugs}} and blessings ~ tanna

Cool turtle! And what a lovely (and expensive!) shawl; it's truly gorgeous.

I have been enjoying my pots of petunias...a few blue flax plants and the Russian Sage. The gardens around here got a bit of a slow start.
