Como Tank Top Finished!

Only too thrilled to tell you I finished my Como tank top.
This was the only selfie I took.
I promise to get real pictures for you soon.
For as much trouble as this was, it was no fault of the pattern.
The pattern was easy and written perfectly.
It was the black yarn and difficulty seeing my stitches.
I had the yarn in my stash, it fit the gauge, and so it went.
I knit it up using 4 skeins of Hopi Tanguis Cotton.
Less than 40 dollars.

I will knit another in a light color and in a wool blend.
Just not right now!
I put the two sides together by crocheting the seams. This is the only way I feel comfortable finishing. It worked well.
Ahhhh, off the needles feeling today …feeling good.

Here we have coleus at the Botanic Gardens.
We have lots of shade in our yard, so I am a coleus fan.
I plant it with fall in mind.  Coleus looks great with fall pumpkins.
These big balls of coleus are huge and impressive near the rose garden.
Here we have the nightly cat fun on the porch.
I leave the light on for the bugs to land on the screen and
my hunter kitties have a blast.
Although Pie cannot see much, she hears the fluttering and goes crazy.

So Como, Coleus and Cats.
Today s post is brought to you by the letter "c"

you knit that sweater up FAST. There must have been sparks flying off of those needles. Congrats on the 10,000 steps! I will not be getting that anytime soon while the humidity is here....I'm okay with that.

Love your "c" post! The cat story was cute and I can just see them leaping around. You're braver than I am - knitting with black yarn. I cast on a Miami Beach shawl last night, we'll see how that goes.

I envy you your porch. My kitties would love one. They have to make do camping out at the screen door.
And yes, black is a tough color to knit. The last time I knit with that dark a color I had to go buy new needles-the Sunstrucks from Knit Picks so I could see and I still only could knit during the day.

Wow! The coleus are HUGE!!!!

I tried growing it here, but it goes to flower much too quickly in the hot weather. :::sigh:::

Florida is good for somethings, but coleus, not so much.

My mother grew Coleus: they sat on top of our console TV and thrived!

Can't wait to see more photos of your sweater. I agree dark yarn is a pain to knit.

From what I can see the tank looks wonderful, black yarn is never easy to work with.
