A Penguin from Florida…what a Surprise

There have been some tummy issues around here since New Years.   The short of it is: Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Hooray for the drug Bentyl. It works.
In my quest to figure this all out ...I tried
whatever anyone offered as advice.
On the road to the Bland Diet
I made some gluten free cookies.
They were really good.
Rice flour is the base.

I do not have to go gluten free or dairy free after all.

The road had many twists and turns.
It is good to have a diagnosis and a plan.

My mailbox held this sweet sweet surprise today.
Dee sent me this darling Penguin ornament.
I had commented that it was my favorite of all her stitcheries.
He's in time for the 7 inches of snow predicted tomorrow.
Isn't he sooo cute?
Thank you Dee.

You are very welcome! You got a great, clear picture of him.

I have had IBS since I was 21. I can't take Bentyl --- gives me a severe headache.

I don't have any advice, but I empathize. It's a confusing thing sometimes to figure out what you can and can't eat.

The penguin is so cute in his little earmuffs! Chocolate chip, gluten free cookies? Sounds good to me!

Glad that you found out what the story was. It is not a nice diagnosis but it is manageable.
Hope things get better for you.

Seven inches? Oh my. That penguin is the cutest thing. It should feel right at home!
I love GF cookies and cupcakes. Poor Daughter has celiac's so they are a must around here but so $$$$.
Everyone here has IBS or a variation thereof. Damn genes. I'll take my IBS over my IC any day though. When my bladder went rogue, I thought it was going to be the end of me. Thank goodness I am enjoying a remission at the moment. It's a victory to be able to have a piece of pizza or a cup of tea without a flare.
