Short post Saturday

Miles and miles of garter stitch.
In Budgie (Parakeet) named yarn that was a gift.
It is a Wandering Cat yarn that Ellen sent to me.
The yarn has some give to it which I love.
It is so good to look at colors when my world is Winter white.
I have noticed the sun is setting later in the afternoon -
We are talking after 5pm.

\
We have more snow.  Fireman says about 4 new inches fell.
Freshly fallen snow is so lovely.
If only I could sled again…but I don't dare test my back
or my knitting arms for that matter…

We are month into the New Year and I haven't kitchenered yet.
11 months to go.
Happy Year of the Horse.
We were going to have rice with our dinner this week, but there were bugs in the rice….ewwwwww.
Completely grossed me out.
I think I itched all night.

Come to think of it I haven't kitchnered this year either. ;o)

I love the extra sunlight that is starting to creep back into the day!

Ugh for bugs.

We got pantry weevils last year. I was afraid to keep anything in the pantry after that.

I think they came in a box of pasta from the supermarket. I ended up just throwing everything away and starting over. YUCK!

Your Budgie yarn says spring to me! Such a pretty color. Hurrah for longer days. Our sunset (5:12) is almost an hour later, and sunrise is well before 8, finally!

I am making a garter stitch baby blanket and it can get a bit monotonous but at least I am changing the colors out.

We are supposed to get more snow on Tuesday and then again late Thursday or Friday. No wonder the salt reserves for the different towns are dwindling.

Love the color of your yarn.

I stated the same thing about the time yesterday to my husband when he came home from work.

I've been at war with some little round black bugs that came in with some dog food and invaded my pantry. I have to keep all grains in the fridge now. Ugh.
Love that color of yarn. Miles and miles of garter stitch sounds like heaven and so does fresh snow. We may get more tomorrow. Today it was almost 60!

We had about 6 inches Friday, and it's been snowing off and on Saturday and Sunday. I want to hibernate.

It's so nice that it's not dark at 5 pm any more ... spring will be here before we know it!

You haven't kitchenered yet - does that mean ever, or just this year? (If not ever, than I can highly recommend Tech Knitter's tutorial on the subject.)

Our kitchen gets so cold in winter that we never get bugs. There's some advantage to a Midwest winter and an old house after all! :)

Snow on pines is so pretty. When it starts to fall, though --- man, what a sound! Finn couldn't figure out what all those sounds were. . .
