Surviving the Cold Snap

I'm into aqua.  Neither of the friends who gifted these to me knew of this.   Serendipity!

This morning I got a notification that a Steven Hawkins was following my Pinterest boards. I was so excited until Fireman told me that isn't the famous writer's name...

I am nearly finished with Dad Is Fat, by Jim Gaffigan.
I laughed out loud many times in the past two days reading the book.  His take on McDonalds and parenting is perfect.

So there has been knitting, reading and some Pinning during the cold snap.  Sunday , the day before the freeze hit,  the yarn shop Mosaic was packed with knitters getting ready for the weather.
When life gives us lemons, we make lemonade.

Stay warm my friends...

It so bleeping cold here! The sound of the heat pump churning away is making me crazy. No one slept last night during the big windy blast from arctic hell. The cats howled and tore the house up and the dogs were restless. It's only been one day of this here but we've all got a bad case of cabin fever. How DO you all do it up north?

Yep, it has been COLD here, too, and knitting has been happening.

As knitters, one might also say when life gives us lemons we make socks (and mitts, and shawls, and...).

I love your yarn bowl!

It was MISERABLE getting out at 6:45 this morning. I know it was nothing like "up north", but for this Florida girl . . . it was COLD!!!!

I just ordered Dad is Fat from my library. If you say it's good ... I guess I should give it a try.

I heard that book is hysterical. Love your new yarn bowl. I have been organizing, not knitting. I better get busy.

So glad your good humor and knitting seem to be helping you combat the cold blast, Kathy! We are having rain in the 40s all week, not horrible, but enough to remind me to care for those suffering.
