Thankful for Thoughtfulness Thursday

This crazy cat lady would like to thank
Leslie for the great knit project bag.
I absolutely love it.
I loaned Leslie a pattern book and it was returned with this bag...
and yes
it's the cat's meow.  (I had to....)

I must tell you I met my first Hairless cat today at the shelter. Guano (as in bat poop) is so sweet.  I learned from his owner who works there, that two Sphynx make a hairless.
I had no idea.
Having had a gorgeous golden retriever and a pretty sheltie
in my adult life, you can gather I love wonderful coats.
I was a big taken aback at Guano's well,
every wrinkle, but I think I could get used to it, after all he is a feline.

Next up the baby poncho I hope to finish this weekend.
I picked it up at the stitchmarker point a few days ago.
It is the Posh Baby Pattern,
but I may make the bottom differently than
the instructions call for.
It is made of mixed Koigu pinks and a plain pink, double stranded.
It will be warm.
Al had knitted a baby sweater 3/4 of the way with this  koigu years ago and then disliked how busy it was.  I frogged it back and
had to find a use for it.
Come to think of it,
It would fit a Hairless cat about now.....

My daughter has a Sphynx. She LOVES putting clothes on him.

Haha, I love how you are obsessing over the hairless cat. I know how those trains of thought can travel. I like pink. I keep looking at pink yarns, but I think "The Season" brings me back to wintery or cozy colors instead.

Looks like you're almost done with the poncho. Is that the one sans hood? Fun color. Brrr...I'll bet that hairless kitty gets mighty cold these days. Love the knitting bag!

That is so interesting because I met my first hairless cat on Monday. One of the little ones I work with was in a respite home, so I went there to work on him and me the cat. Very friendly little one, but very interesting.
Hugs,
Meredith

Those kitties do look "weird" at first, but any that I have met are so incredibly sweet and cuddly, pretty soon they look like all kitties do to me. :-)

I have only seen photos of hairless cats - I think seeing one in person would be interesting.

Love the poncho AND the yarn. I use stitch markers to motivate myself on big projects. I tend to knit more when I can actually see the progress I've made in one sitting.

The dog I had before Dear Departed Doggie was a Sheltie. He was the best dog ever. Blind cat (Ali), Sheltie (Duffy) and a son named Zach-we have so much in common!
I have never actually written anything about my Dear Departed blind kitty. I found her in a trash can on a 90 degree day. She was crying up a storm. Someone just threw that tiny kitten away like garbage. The sweet thing had tons of health issues-seizures mainly but she lived a good long life and was the prettiest itty bitty calico that you ever saw.
Hello Kathy
I've never seen one of those hairless cats. I've always found them quite ugly. I suppose as with everything it is a matter of getting used to it. I found this topic quite interesting actually so I am going to google it and get some more info.

keep well

Amanda :-)

LOVE that project bag! Leslie chose the PERFECT material for you! That poncho is so cute... I'm thinking that a hairless cat might really appreciate a smaller version with the winter closing in. ;) blessings ~ tanna
