Fireman and I walked in the woods today.  Our walks are very flat.  I don't know how you ladies that live in hilly areas do it!  Its a flat line from here to there every day!
Friend Meg is moving and gave me some stash yarn. I cast on my newest project Labor day but I'll wait to show it to you. Suffice to say I'm happily knitting away on the porch.

Here are my latest discoveries:

*Have you tried Almond Butter?  I tried to find Sunflower butter at my regular grocer but could not.  The Almond Butter is delicious.  Heart Healthy too Nancy!

*Do you have a cordless vacuum ? I've posted my vacuum troubles here before and it is time I pass on the good news.   I'll never go back to a vacuum with a cord. I can do the whole downstairs without that annoying plug issue.

*Are you allergic to bees?  Friend Linda, allergy nurse Linda, tells us there is a talking epi pen!  A doctor and his engineer brother came out with an epi pen that talks to you like a defibrillator does.

*Finally, Happy Happy JOY JOY is the best smelling conditioner I've ever used.  Gee my hair smells delicious!

Comments anyone?

You know you can make your own nut butters ... lightly roast (or not) whatever nuts you like to use, then pop them in the food processor and just grind away until it turns into nut butter. We used to make mixed nut butter (really good) until I realised that we weren't saving any money by doing it.

Crazy weather change, isn't it? But very nice not to be so sticky as last week. :)

Almond butter is pretty good. I am glad you are happy with your new vacuum. I just got one myself, and I'm so happy!!

Remind me not to go walking with you in the woods if that snake is an example of the things you run into!! I really hate snakes and I guess I am not a good citizen because I kill every snake I meet. My neighbors fuss at me about maintaining the balance of nature and all that jazz!

What fun--heir to a yarn stash? Lucky you!!

Aren't we silly, but a great vacuum makes the chore less of a drag

WE HAVE A DYSON PET HAI CANISTER VACUUM AND IT IS INCREDIBLE HOW MUCH IT PICKS UP, EVEN WHAT YOU CAN'T SEE. I SURELY COULD HAVE ENOUGH GOLDEN RETRIEVER HAIR TO KNIT INTO A BLANKET ALREADY.

Like Katherine, I do NOT like snakes - any kind of snakes! Okay, I know that Bull snakes are good, but dang they look an awful lot like Rattlesnakes from a distance. I like to keep my distance looooong when around the slithering critters.

See that snake? Now picture him in my bedroom hallway...yep, that was MY weekend! Yowza!

I love almond butter. Try it on apple slices --- great, healthy breakfast.

I know this sounds bizarre but when I was a teen (think 60's) Edgar Cayce's predictions were all the rage. He said to eat 2-3 almonds a day and you could avoid cancer so I've been doing just that. Although I think it's all coo coo, I'm not taking any chances. I wonder if almond butter would work? Too bad he's not around to ask.

Beautiful area.... except for the slithery thing. How nice to receive a gift of yarn! That won't happen to me... very few people in my part of the hot, steamy South knit.

And doesn't a new scent of shampoo or conditioner just lift our spirits out of the "ordinary"?

Do you have to watch out for ticks at this time of year? At least you can see snakes! Can't wait to see your new project!

Happy happy joy joy? Sissy's registered name is Princess of Joy... But I have to use shampoo and conditioner that match, because I might be a little OCD. Off to look for it!

A cordless vac??? Does it have really good suction too? Sounds fantastic not to have to deal with a cord.

That little animal you saw on your walk...I'm not a fan!! I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to snakes!
