A Labor Day Poem

It's all about the picnicking and barbecues today.  While we are supposed to honor laborers we have a day to play.  A front came through our town last night accompanied by storms.  The windows are flung open and there's plenty of fresh corn. Karen taught me yesterday, to sew a perfect seam. Today I'll finish all my hats, the blue the green the cream! If instead I have to work, on this our Labor Day, I'll be glad I'm working and not laboring away.  I always have a little smile when Mother's have their babes, and Labor on the Labor Day when Holidays were made.  :)

Cute poem.

Love the cabled knitting. Cables always look best in white.

We are doing that OTHER classic Labor Day thing. We are heading to the BEACH!

No rest for the fire fighters in the wilderness today. Smoke-filled skies from area forest fires blanket the valley: sure wish it would rain, and rain, and rain.

Happy Labor Day! I would be funny to be delivering a baby today-after the fact. Being in labor is no laughing matter. Ouch.

Can Karen teach me?! I hate seams, probably because I don't get the desired results.
