This was the best I could do from the passenger
side of our car at sunset last night.
The sky was spectacular. There ought to be a yarn color named SUNSET FROM THE CAR don't you think?
This is the best time to stop for sweet corn and such when you are out in the country.
I romanticize country living...do you?
I was inside a real farmer's house once in my life.  There was a lot of mud.  That's what impressed me at the age of 13...

Fireman and I were guests on our friends' boat yesterday.  It was all good:
friends, sun, a few good catches, and being on the water all day. Do you love to fish? I do. My favorite kind is fishing off a pontoon boat with lots of room and some shade if you want it...

There was knitting in the car too -
Pretty much a perfect day!

Having lived on a farm for nearly 40 years, I can attest there is a lot of mud and manure. Not too romantic, but I would move back to a farm in the blink of an eye. I love the quiet of winter, the frenzy of harvest, and the generosity of neighbors.

I have never held a fishing pole even though I accompanied my sister and brother-in-law on many fishing trips (stream fishing).

It sounds like a perfect day. i do romanticize living on a farm, with sheep of course but I am sure it is not quite as wonderful as I envision it.
Hugs to you,

Wonderful sunset, indeed! Yes, country living involves lots of dirt/sand getting tracked in. It is a constant battle, and I never win the war.

I love knitting in the car and swimming off a pontoon boat, but fishing--not so much! I spent a lot of my childhood sitting in a boat reading while my father was fishing. Somehow, I never enjoyed the fish or the fishing but I developed a passion for books!

Beautiful sunset!

OMG that is a wonderful sunset photo, Kathy!! I couldn't do that NOT in the passenger seat!! And, yes, there does need to be a yarn that color!

I grew up on a farm... it is a lot of hard work. But, a good life. blessings ~ tanna

That is an awesome sunset! I love it!

I've never been fishing. I don't know if I could handle it... I mean, I eat fish. But the thought of doing the catching myself just squicks me out.

Love how you capture the best of summer! And what a great idea for a yarn color!

Ha. Country living is wonderful, but there's mud, animal hair, and more. I wouldn't trade it.

Not a fan of fishing. I love to read on the water though.

Gorgeous sunset. And you propose a good name for yarn! LOL. I like fresh produce from the locals this time of year. I love eating fresh fish, but haven't done it in years. My dad enjoyed fishing a great deal, and there was nothing better than eating brook trout. I've caught a few myself.

There's nothing like a good veggie stand.
