TIny Post

These are zoo snippets from our visit today.  The baby monkey was adorable.  So agile, so able, so busy at his young age.
This Red Panda was A-dorable.  He looked like a stuffed animal sleeping in that tree.  Such sweet creatures. They are hand fed by the staff
This is Kevin Nealon from SNL fame.  He was having bagels in a great bagel stop.  I slipped him a note thanking him for making us laugh in a tough world.   It is so fun to spot a celebrity isnt it??  We met him on the way to the zoo!
Lastly there were two elephants at the zoo.   I know how social they are; I was glad there were at least two.  They had ample shade but preferred the scorching sun.

Have you been to the zoo lately?  Have you spotted any celebrities.

I haven't been to the zoo in YEARS. I spotted a local news anchor in town earlier this week... that's about as close as I can get!

It has been many years since I have been to the zoo or spotted any celebrities! Do you think that means I don't get out enough?

Some people have a knack for spotting celebrities. I can walk by my next door neighbor of 20 years in the grocery store and think, "was that someone I know?" Uh-mmmm maybe not!

Yes and yes.

We went to our local zoo to welcome the new baby white rhino. The red panda looked JUST like yours...tree branch and all.

The celebrity was the guy that played Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies. He was very gracious and we talked to him, Daniel Baldwin and some guy from the Mentalist for a few minutes at the exotic car show in Celebration.

The nearest zoo is in Denver or Salt Lake City, so it would be quite a drive.

Kind of hard to spot celebrities in the middle of Wyoming.

I just posted about our trip to the San Diego Zoo and have a red panda photo, too! They sure are cute. We were on a plane once with the Mamas and the Papas. Does that count?
