TIny Pictures; Big Issues

The vest has begun.  I'm doing a daisy stitch.
This is as far as I got after ripping out the daisy stitches twice.
It is going to be a very very very slow go-
why?
Because after just 2 days my right wrist hurts...
Socks never hurt my hands...never...never ever
AL's looking for a cute boy baby hat pattern.  She has 4 friends who are having boys this fall.
I LOVE the little cap above.  It is from the  Vintage Knits for Modern Babies book.
I bet that stitch would hurt my wrists too-
All my images are from my iphone today.
They come out small on the blogaroo

This is great nephew RJ showing us how he climbs the walls.
My kids did the exact same thing growing up.
I had to send Al a photo of RJ. to remind her of her antics.
You do strange things in the winters in the Midwest when you cannot get outside to climb around!
Finally, thank you ALL who confessed to night time
snacking right along with me.
You made me feel so much better.
I saw these muffin tops at Panera today;
I passed.
That counts for something right?

I'm off to start a second sock..
are you climbing any walls lately?

It DOES count for something. You walked AWAY from the calories.

Wish I could say the same. I ate some sweets at lunch that I really should have not eaten......should have just said NO! THAT has me climbing the walls.

I WISH I could find some self-control.

My kids used to play a game they made up called Swifter hockey, they used Swifters with the duster thing on them, and made hockey pucks out of Gatorade bottle caps and had a grand time. I had at least 6 separate Swifters so everyone had one.
The vest will turn out, the start is always the hardest and use circular needles, they are easier on your hands/wrists.
Hugs,
Meredith

Just like Dee, I want some self-control. My snacking has been out of control the whole month of July and the scale reflects it. Ouch!

Let the vest marinate a while if your wrists are bothering you. Perhaps you are more tense knitting on the vest than you are socks which is why your wrists hurt. Just a thought.

You get so much more done than me, Kathy! You inspire me to keep trying...even when my projects inspire me to climb the walls :)
I like doing relaxing little projects like knitting a dishcloth along with tackling more complicated projects. So enjoy your new sock, then visit your new vest again... maybe that will rest your wrists?

I love the baby hat! It look like moss stitch which is one decorative stitch that doesn't hurt my hands or wrists.

Those muffin tops look delish!!

Love the color you're using for the vest but sorry it's hurting your hands. And thank you for suggesting that Vintage book (as well as the sock pocket one!); I'm working on that cute capelet, and am going to check out that hat! BTW, great photo of Tank!

Oh - sorry the daisy stitch is hurting you - it's very Purdy. Those muffin tops look yummy and leaving them counts for lots! Happy snacky knitting. g

I had a cinnamon crunch bagel tonight at Panera. Now I wish I had bought two.
Ouch...too bad about the wrist. I am terrified of getting carpal tunnel so I take wrists very seriously.

I'm eating an ice cream cone as we speak and those muffin tops sure would go good with it. I always have trouble with the daisy stitch too so I can totally relate. Seems like the pretty stitches always hurt the most.

I can't knit if it hurts.

The Knight brought me a Twinkie last night on his final pass through the kitchen, but I returned it. If I'm going to splurge, I want it to be worth it.

I'm climbing the walls here at work. I soooo need a new job.
