Starting Over

I've been keeping St. Francis busy.  In summer he is surrounded by trumpet vine flowers and begonias.
My Jiminey Cricket mug reminds me that Cricket the rescue dog was a stepping stone to Beatles and to cat fostering.   He was a tough lesson, but I see the path now looking back, and it led me to here.
I may start over with my watermelon socks.  Then again I may start over with this sparkly sock yarn that was gifted me.  There was a blog suggestion to knit with something sparkly for the 4th Of July.
Fireman and I have been watching the 100th Tour de France.  It makes for a lovely START to our day together.

The Stanley CUP came to my ISCU unit yesterday and I was not there.  BOo hoo.  I hear it will come again.
If I STARTED work earlier, I would have seen it.
Rocky W. the owner brought it up to our unit.

Are you Starting anything today???
Start happy start hopeful!

I think St. Francis would have loved the red flowers. And I love your Jiminey Cricket mug!!

Knitting with sparkly is a great idea, especially for socks! I am doing the same with the sparkly shawl, when my aching arm allows. Hope your 4th is as much fun as fire works!

The TdF does make a lovely start to the day doesn't it?
Knitting sparkles on the 4th. Now why didn't I think of that?

Thanks for reminding me I have 4th of July yarn! Maybe I'll knit tomorrow...

No starting here. Hmmm... maybe that should change?

I am starting to get used to Feedly, my replacement for Google Reader. Still not sure how to leave a comment and several I have left for you have not worked. Trying again - but you may never see this :-)

I worry all the time and fireworks are a big one for me to worry about, that and kids riding their bikes without a helmet.

Oh no , hope that you're there the next time the Cup pays a visit .

I started a new book today , and I can't put it own , it's that good . The title is ' Me before You ' by Jojo Moyes . On the cover it says , " destined to be the book that friends press on each other...it demands an afternoon on the sofa with a fistful of tissues . So far after 157 pages , love it ! Wish I didn't have to feed the family today ....

Happy Fourth of July !

I started (and finished) a customer quilt. I also just started the baked beans cooking... church social tonight. Shortly, I will start the homemade ice cream churning. That, too, is for the social. Yummy!

Bummer! No sparkly yarn in my stash! Clearly I need to SHOP! HAHA! I am working on the cuff of 2 different pairs of socks, then I can move on to something else... like the lake house KnitPicks yarn. YAH!

Thank goodness for Lynette and Three bags they had the needles I needed. I found some yarn that works for a pattern I just found. Love knitting and love starting. I have 4 projects going as it is but something fresh is always nice.

hope you can see the Stanley cup next time around.

Hmmmmmm...starting? I'm *starting* to think that I really need to get serious about losing some more weight. I lost 30 pounds. Gained some back. Now I want it all to get lost for good. But, I am just *starting* to make a plan.

That sparkly sock yarn looks good. I have that same yarn in a goldish-brown. Love those sock.

I think that sparkly yarn is the same stuff that I used for a shawl for Baby Girl when she was abt 7. It's nice stuff!!!

I have no plans to start anything today, but that doesn't mean anything! You never know what yarn will decide it needs to be knit up RIGHT NOW... Ooh. Or maybe I'll start reading a new book. :)
