Confessions of a Knitblogger

 Not my flowers....
but my picture.
I started another knit project yesterday and it wasn't this sock's match.  Alas, I am not monogamous this summer in my knit projects...
Excuse:
A certain someone sent me two skeins of a yarn I couldn't wait to use so I gave in.
When the power went out briefly last night I went downstairs and ate a brownie...
(I am ashamed) yes with frosting....
Excuse: Tomorrow will be 2 months soda free...
so I needed a treat...
I keep telling my 22 year old things he already knows and doesn't need reminding....
(Note to self: He lived in Mexico speaking a different language in a different culture without any help from me last year at this time)
Excuse: there is none!

Confession:
I wanted the Royals to have a girl.

any confessions or excuses this morning?

You are among friends.....:)

First of all, congrats on being soda free for 2 months. That's good will power which will have healthy results!

Secondly, I have to admit I was hoping the royal couple would have a girl, too. I can't imagine being in the public eye like they are, though.

I would have disappointed in you if the brownie had not had frosting Otherwise, why bother!! I confess I am making cornbread today, just because I NEED cornbread!

I too am disappointed that the royal baby was not a girl.

I am currently visiting my 22 year old who is interning in WY, happily living in his car at times. So hard to keep that Mom trap shut! :-) they are surprisingly self sufficient aren't they?

I need brownies and now. thanks for that. ;) Also, I feel better knowing you feel the need to "remind" your responsible, intelligent, put together 22 year old "kid" things. I know mine is younger, but I imagine it's hard regardless to stop or at least reduce the Momming. Give the kitty a good squish for me.

Brownies with frosting....oh my. I am having a hard time getting past that.
Umm...oh yeah, I also wanted a girl. Another queen after two kings (Charles and Wills) would have been better. Then I thought that it is probably a crappy job for a woman so maybe it is all for the best.

Confession - sometimes, I don't answer when someone rings the doorbell. At times, I just need to be alone and knit.

Excuse - I'm having a cookie tonight because it is my birthday. If I had a brownie w/o frosting, I'd eat that, too. ;oD

Sock came out really well!!! What did you start with the other yarn? And will you suffer from SSS???

*A* brownie??? Seriously?? One brownie is NOTHING to be ashamed of!

I think once a mom, always a mom. Can't help it. We get to remind them just as those stretch marks get to remind us!!! LOL You can tell him I said so too!

I'm happy the Royals had a boy. Next can be a girl. Watched the Dateline special and I had tears watching Diana with her boys. She LOVED her boys! Face never lit up as much as when she was with her kids. Hoping that the name Spencer will be a part of this new little prince's name.

Confession: Sometimes when I don't want to cook I eat a bag of chips and a chunk of cheese for dinner. If I throw in a raw carrot I figure I covered most of the food groups.

Brownies eaten in the dark do not count, any more than a tree that falls in a forest (when no one is around) makes noise.

Confession: I threw my Weight Watchers journal in the trash today. Excuse: I wasn't using it and it was making me feel guilty.

Confession: I'm too lazy to walk myself after dinner. Turn Around: I'm walking the neighbor who has doctor's orders to walk and is too lazy to walk herself as well. Win / Win. :) g

Congrats!

I fell off the soda wagon last week and had one. I was so mad at myself.

Starting over.......AGAIN!

I didn't think I had an opinion... until I heard it was a boy. Darn.

I accidentally - truly - ordered a venti frapp yesterday. Not skinny. Not no whip. I was more concerned about ordering and getting the water out to my friend Ellie (yes, a dog) on the patio... But I drank most of it anyway.
