All About the Cats Today

Pie plus Tank  = Friends

Some of you have asked how Little blind Pie is getting around at home.

She's fearless.  When she gets to a new room in our house, (I introduce rooms slowly to her)
she walks the perimeter like a guard.

She stands on her hind legs and FEELS the walls.

She seems to memorize the room by the walls.

She's a baby.

I have to put her in her room for naps.

She cries before she falls asleep even in my arms.

Tank is her guardian.

What a surprise.

Tank is afraid of his own shadow.

From Day ONE he has wanted to be near her room, her crate, and yes
her food.

Today Bea and Pie were hissing at one another and Tank ran between them and chased Bea out of the room.

Bea will be playing with Pie in no time.

Hissing is all just cat talk in the beginning.

Pie, my change of life baby...
she's definitely home now.

Oh sweet Pie. I love her even though I have never met her! She is such a little thing in a big world but she has amazing strength and courage!

I laughed at Bea and Pie hissing. They are, as you said, just talking. Macy and Max rub noses like the pack wolves do. It's their way! Hugs to your babies!

I'm glad she has been able to adapt to her blindness. I would love to see Tank protecting her.

What a brave, smart girl! Pie sounds just wonderful. Extra treats for Tank. (Yes, I know... Tank should diet... but...)

That is such a sweet story, I love how Tank has taken over the care of sweet Pie. Really amazing how she memorizes her surroundings, you are the best Mom. And in your previous post it is your job to remind your 22 year old things, he is a boy and you are the Mom, he might just forget the things you need to say. And besides being the Mom means you are allowed to say whatever you need to.
Hugs,
Meredith

Pie has a good mama and a good buddy. What more could she ask for.

So you're really going to keep Pie? Lucky kitty! Fun story about Tank; everyone needs a big brother, right?

I think Pie is a lucky kitty, too: she adopted the perfect family.

I am reading your post while rocking my little blind doggie to sleep. She cries herself to sleep every night also. I call it her sleepy song. We both sing until she drifts off and then I put her in her little bed where she stays until somehow in the middle of the night she ends up in bed next to me.
Your little baby sounds like an angel. I am so happy she found her way to you!
