You Were Right

Short of asking a stranger to let me use their child as a model,
the finished poncho set remains 2 dimensional this morning.  The hat is not as big as It looks in the image, but babies do have big heads..don't they?
I'm   passing along tips by Rebecca Watson in an article she wrote for Interweave Knits Summer 2012.
My wrist is a bit sore from the lack of give in the acrylic yarn used for the baby poncho....
This finger stretch feels sooooo good.

I am still overjoyed with having a weekend off.  Tomorrow we are going to a Minor League Baseball game; the Kane County Cougars were bought by the Cubs franchise.  There will be knitting during the game....of course.

So a Finish, a Finger stretch and a Franchise for fodder this morning!  Thanks for stopping by.

And a fine, fabulous finish to the week! Love the outfit. And, yes, babies DO have big heads. LOL! I was always shocked at the baby hats I did and would think they were way too big... but nope. ;) Enjoy your weekend, Kathy! blessings ~ tanna

The hat and the poncho are so cute. Yep ... most babies have big heads.

When we go to a minor league game, it is usually the Cubbies. We go to the Daytona Cubs. Best bargain in the baseball business. If you go on Tuesday, you get in for $5.00 and get a free hot dog.

Ha. I got a kick out of Nancy's reference to your "stitch and pitch" outing! Have fun!

The hat and poncho are a great duo. Very nice!!

The hat and poncho are so cute, especially the yummy seed stitch! Another knitter told me once that I needed to make baby hats a little larger than I was making them if I wanted the babies to wear them longer than 5 minutes after birth. Your hat looks like a perfect size!!

Enjoy your baseball knitting!! What could be better?

No baby needed for that adorable ensemble. I am finger stretching right now and it is wonderful. Who would have thought?

As someone who has had two carpal tunnel surgeries, I know how important it is to take care of your hands. Thanks for the reminder, thanks for reading and thanks for commenting.

Happy stretching!

I always love how those babies have a bobble-head look and big eyes. I'm sure if the hat doesn't fit at first, the baby will grow into it.

Very cute set for a lucky baby! Icing helps sore knitters hands, too. I have tendonitis and along with certain supplements, icing gives much relief.
