Blooming .....

Everything is blooming at once around here.   Usually things bloom in an orderly sort of succession in Chicago.  This year it seems to be all at once.

The show is fantastic wherever I look....

In my knit world, I have knit both heel flaps on the lorna's socks.  There will be porch knitting today..

Has anyone placed a KnitPicks order since their debacle?  I got their catalog yesterday and am tempted.  Perhaps I should write a check and put it in the mail,
the old fashioned way-

(the debacle had to do with credit cards that were used to order being hacked...this
caused many issues for fellow knitters.  I escaped unscathed but am wise to it now. )

No, I haven't ordered from Knit Picks since Christmas. I wish more online stores accepted PayPal.

Since the temps are in the mid to high 80s here, everything has burst into bloom, too. I love this time of year!

Wow your area has just exploded with flowers!! How are the allergies doing?

I havent ordered anything since the credit card scandal, but I've been looking at their yarn on line and I'm getting itchy!! I may use a gift card type Visa if I do.

Yep! Leave it to me--I forgot all about the debacle and ordered two skeins of Shine and a one of their Harmony circs. Everything came fine. No problem and since I check my credit card regularly as does USAA I think it's okay. I might pause to think about it the next time though!

The pictures of all the blooms in Chicago are wonderfully colorful and beautiful!! Wowza! Isn't is glorious!!

I was not aware of the Knit Picks debacle. Hmmm. That's unfortunate! Hope it's resolved! I haven't ordered from them in quite a while.

Oh the blooms or gorgeous. I have serious porch knitting envy.

I have recently ordered from Knitpicks. I ordered my mother's day present, it's shipped but has not arrived, and the order info seemed "in order". I used Paypal.

What was the issue??

Pretty blooms. I haven't ordered from Knitpicks in AGES... more to do with the flow of knitting and my huge stash than anything else.

The white tulip is awesome. Love that one.

You could always order the old fashioned way with one of their catalogs and a check.

Ouch, I haven't ordered from Knit Picks in over a year. Bummer for them and their customers.

Man, that second tulip is outrageously beautiful!! I'd love to be close enough to study it to paint!! Thank you for sharing so much beauty. blessings ~ tanna

So glad you finally have blooms to enjoy, Kathy!!!

My orders to KP before Christmas went through correctly, but I had a friend in Washington who had to deal with the problem...so I can understand your concern.
xx,
Gracie

Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers.

We have progressed to wild plum. Lilacs and flowering crab are still a week off, I'd say.

Happy porch knitting!

Gorgeous! Spring really exploded up your way. It is winding down here but it was been cold and too windy to really have enjoyed any of it this year.
I also have ordered from Knit Picks using their new Paypal option since the debacle but recently I have had nothing but trouble trying to order things from their new website. Hopefully the glitch is fixed but I'm afraid I lost interest in the project in the meantime.

Well, now you tell me, I just ordered from them but it was a gift card. I wasn't aware they were having problems. Let's hope they get the problem fixed because I love their stuff.

I haven't ordered from them. I've been a bit nervous to try it.

I have not placed a KnitPicks order since then, but one of the ladies in my SnB has. She didn't mention any problems...

I ordered from KnitPicks twice in 2012 and my card was hacked. Luckily, I use a prepaid VISA card so my bank account was not impacted. However, I'm still gun-shy about ordering online again (that and I really, really need to slim down my stash).

I ordered a couple of needles recently, no problem. Your pics are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

Spring blooming trees are my favorite . I love how they are so predictable ....the star magnolias, the redbuds and then the lilacs and cherry trees. Followed by my absolute favorite dogwoods.
