Comments......

For anyone who has been unable to comment, I've figured it out. Keep  commenting , please.  I love to read your comments. I don't think I would blog if there was no way to get your comments.   I have a comment moderation feature that I haven't been tending to.
Now, I will be able to post all your feedback.

I make it a point to comment on YOUR blogs if you comment on mine.  I have actually stopped commenting on some blogs that never return the favor here at Irisheyes.
I still read them, but they don't get my time for commenting if they  have not given me a comment.
I love even a one word interaction with you:
Fun,
Interesting
Hi Kathy b.
it all means so much to me.

My own family needs some prodding to comment.
:) For mother's day, I'd like a week of comments from my family.......
:)
they are such Lurkers.....
I tease them about it.
Here is one of my daffodils showing her pretty face.

My baby poncho is pictured first today.   Karen R. helped me read through the pattern and we have decided its a GO!   I've been working quite a bit, so I'm not very far into the poncho but I have some time coming up!

Would you like to comment on the new MOMMY trend?  Apparently in addition to cooking your placenta and eating it,
you need to prechew your baby's food and spit it in her/his mouth.
No more Gerbers I guess.  This begs the question:

Are You My Mother?  or
Are you a Bird or a Human????

what do you think?

Looks like you got your comment glitches fixed, eh? Good for you. Yes, I agree, having even a one-word comment is better than nothing! The new MOMMY trend you mentioned...ah...really??? Does not sound like a good trend! Well, keep those needles clicking...looking forward to more pictures of the poncho.

Do you have a problem with not being able to respond to comments? On my blog, I'd say 90% of the time, I can't reply because it won't give me the email address--just "no reply" at blogger. I keep checking to see if it's something I've done on my settings or if it's just another Blogger quirk.

Oh My - I don't even know where to start. I'm very disturbed by the end of this post. Sorry. Cooking and *eating!* the placenta? No thank you. and how will children ever learn important things like chewing if you do it for them?

Love the baby poncho. and your daff - love it! I have been very bad about commenting lately. With my new schedule I lost my morning computer time and by the evening I've been too brain dead to figure out the numbers in the pictures for proving I'm not a robot. Happy to see they've changed that again. I'll try and do better - honest. Because like you - I enjoy comments and the interaction and friends they bring me. :) Happy Weekend! g

I love comments, too, but like Toni, it is difficult to respond to "no reply" or anonymous comments. I've kept "anonymous" as an option for comments, but I would definitely like a way to contact every person who leaves a comment.

The new Mommy trend is too far-fetched for me to even grasp.

Getting to buy those adorably little jars of baby food was one of the great joys of my children being small.

You know, whenever I hear about these new MOMMY trends, I want to slap someone. Preferably one of them.

Also - so how DID you make Blogger work so you could respond to comments? Inquiring minds want to know. ;-0

Okay, thank God I am not a new Mother, that is just gross. I love that you comment and I would be very bummed if you stop. I have now really cut down on commenting on blogs that don't ever return the favor. I know it takes time, but if I am taking the time to read a blog and comment, is it so much to ask in return?
Hugs to you,
Meredith

As for the new mom trends...ugh-babies as science projects. We've got a few of these new age moms in our family and their odd ideas have been quite the topic of conversation among us old timers. My mom hung me over her hip, cigarette dangling out of her mouth, with a hot cup of coffee in the other hand and I turned out ok-or did I?

I have a family of lurkers too. I know this because if I mention I am knitting a certain thing for one of them for Christmas or birthday, THEN I hear from them!

I can't believe the things you posted about the new Mommy trend. What's up with that??? The idea gives me the heebie jeebies!

Baby poncho will be beautiful!!

Well I'm glad your comments are fixed. I practice reciprocal commenting as well. A poncho is quite an undertaking so I'm really looking forward to seeing your progress. The Jitterbug colorist I'm using is Gauguin 100 and it was made in 2008. I love how one row is turquoise and the next row you're pulling purple stitches through. It reminds me of beautiful water with shadows. Regarding the pre-chewed food...sounds absolutely disgusting! I had my children in 78 & 80 so I'm no fan of all this stuff folks are doing now. That said, Women have been having babies for centuries in all sorts of ways. What works for one doesn't work for all and I believe each person's preferences should be respected.

OH GROSS......glad my *baby* is almost 30 and feeds himself and God bless Gerber that was there when he couldn't.

I can't wait to see the baby poncho all finished. I like the colors so far.

If I can I reply to comments. Too many have no reply instead of an address. Sometimes my large pack of dogs take up the time I'd spend at the computer, but I do my best.

What?????????? Yuk.....I will ask my daughters if they have heard of this.....disturbing to me!!!
Your daffodil is beautiful! and your latest project looks challenging. I have done so much frogging on my shawl, but I am determined to finish it :-)

Kathy, I love your posts and your comments. I'm still learning how the blog features go. What can I say, I'm a tortoise pace :)

And I refuse to believe that is a Mommy Trend. That's just got a be a few bruised apples right? I understand wanting to be hands-on but this, is ridiculous.

I admit to biting of a piece of food to give to my kids, but I don't pre-chew it. That's a bit much. I guess to each his own.

Fun poncho in great colors! Sure am glad I had my kiddos a long time ago; that sounds like a really gross fad.
