Brrrr Baby ITs COld OUTside

How cold is it?  It is so cold that the Cubs and Brewers looked like this in Chicago the last two nights......
Al says it was 80s in Virginia the past two days....
Here is a shot of her cabled hat still holding up great.  This was, of course, when we visited her the week before Easter and it was 50s and 60s outside.

I went through a box of knitting hats and scarves the other day .....
why do my less than marvelous finishes last forever ?
I never seem to lose an average hat.

I have been working often and there has been less knit time this week....
it makes me squirrelly....
I need a good sit and knit....

what's making you squirrelly?

Same thing is making me squirrelly too!! LOL! The weather has been crazy. It was 90 here Tuesday afternoon and then the rain and cold came again... Now, it's 40! Crazy! Did this last week, too. blessings ~ tanna
ps when you figure out why the less marvelous items never go missing, please pass it on to us. ;)

It's 20 degrees F. as I write this comment. The ground is covered in a thick blanket of snow (12 inches) that fell on Monday. I'm ready for moisture of the more liquid variety!

I must say that hat on Al is fabulous! Love the big cable work. Your daughter is a very good model for your work, by the way! Well, this cold, snowy weather makes me squirrely. Staying inside, stoking the fire, doesn't seem too "spring-like." However, I am getting some serious knitting done!! Ha.

No knitting time here either, I hope to rectify that tonight. It was 90 here yesterday, really?

... the power flickering for hours on end. It drove me to give in and walk the dogs, even though I knew it was too hot outside. I needed to get out!!

The current weather certainly makes me squirrelly. It's 39 degrees in Fort Worth today. Hasn't Mother Nature heard that it is Spring?

Medical insurance! Pain in my anterior region.

Had an eye exam today and because he wants to check something further, I have to return. The insurance company doesn't like to pay for two procedures in one day. :-(

Al's hat looks great!

BETWEEN TAKING CARE OF OUR NEW ROUDY BOY KITTENS, MR. WHISKERS AND TEDDY AND GOING TO PT FOR MY REPLACED SHOULDER, SQUIRRELY IS A GOOD DAY HERE. HOPE TO KNIT A LITTLE NOW WHILE THE KITTENS ARE TAKING THEIR AFTERNOON NAP.

The issue with not having enough "time to sit and knit" is making me squirrely, too. Granted, I could be spending my other relaxation time knitting, but there's been so much else going on that I haven't gotten in as much knitting as I like. Oh well. Being this crazy-busy won't last forever! :)

It being 90 here this week is making me nuts. I am not ready for this heat and am regretting wishing winter away. I would rather be covered up than expose the parts of me that are not ready to be exposed quite yet.
