Very Little Knitting

The very snowy woods this morning after...
Fireman and I used our new trekking poles again and enjoyed a very quiet morning hike.

I have been busy working as our census is up across the Maternal Child Hospital;  I haven't been able to knit since SUNDAY.
After a nap, I'm looking forward to a crackle log fire and shawl knitting with that gorgeous cashmere blend.
If you've never seen a chocolate bacon long john,
well here you go.
Zach brought the leftovers home in a white bakery bag yesterday.
My gall bladder hurts just looking at it...

oh to be young.  What can't you eat anymore?

Not having a gall bladder anymore, I can't eat anything. Seriously, nothing but veggies, plain pasta, rice and bread-no more dairy products. Chronic cystitis has made me give up chocolate, fruit, alcohol, spices, onions, soy products and pretty much anything with a yum factor. Getting old stinks.
Here on the East coast our big snow storm is a bust. All rain. Ugh. The entire region shut down in anticipation of the storm. What a laugh.

I am not so much a bacon fan. My husband loves it. His cholesterol is fine though (as he has it tested each year). This would be great for him. I do like Canadian bacon.
I did a bit of knitting yesterday with the snow.

A walk on a snowy trail would be divine.

I don't eat raw green peppers anymore. I love them, but my body sure doesn't, so I make sure they are roasted or cooked. Ironically, I can eat raw red, yellow, or orange peppers without any problems.

Oh how I miss the snow. We used to love going out early in the morning for cross-country skiing.

I don't eat much meat and for a long time ate none at all. It seems that living in Texas requires one to become a meat-eater but it has never worked for me! The whole family went to Saltgrass Steak House and I wish I had a picture of the server's face when I ordered grilled veggies.

Now that I don't have a gall bladder, I can eat ANYTHING! LOL But, I wouldn't touch that I don't think. The idea of bacon and chocolate just doesn't work for me.

Okay I think I am caught up on your posts, sorry you are working so much, but those little ones need you that is for sure. The snow looks so beautiful, especially from Florida where it is a bit chilly. I think my son got the tail end of your storm yesterday, 6 inches. I bet he will be ready for Spring Break.
Hugs to you and those gorgeous kittens.

I don't know if it's so much not being able to eat certain things so much as trying to eat more healthfully on regular basis. That's not as boring as it sounds! There are so many good things to eat.

Chocolate Bacon Longjohns? That looks sooooooo good. I never want to grow old. Though, it's already tough for me to eat a lot of fast food...

I want to make note... it is not chocolate but maple frosting! maybe that changes some peoples minds. Although young, I do need energy to stay awake the day through teaching high school students and graduate classes...and I can not eat more than two bites of this masterpiece at a time. Falafel from Sultan's market is the way to go !

Brrr! That looks might chilly? Can't you make it all go away before we get there? I can't do dairy for sure, gluten maybe; the old cast iron stomach disappeared. :>(

My problem is not what I eat, it's how much I eat, which is not as much as I used to. Yuck, reflux. I'm loving vintage more and more, always poking around, making discoveries. Thanks for the read and the comment!

Gross. I tried a bacon brownie. Flavor profile was fine, but the texture was the problem.

Radishes. I love 'em, but a few years ago, they began to bite back!

I don't have my gall bladder. The soft cheeses really bother me, like brie.

Oh, I love the photos! But... chocolate and bacon don't go together in my book. Ick.
