Rise and Shine

I like to start the days at the shelter with some coffee and some munchkins for the staff.

We nurses know the value of supporting the staff, and on this morning, Lucy Lou's kittens were having surgery.   Momma Lucy Lou went back as well, but the kittens come back with me for 2 nights to recover in familiar surroundings.   It has a been a great 9 week ride...and I know all 5 of them will make someones very happy.
The gorgeous green variegated yarn , that Ria sent me, is knitting up beautifully.  I'm enjoying every stitch.

Have you noticed anything about my photographs lately?

I'm using a new camera.
Yup I succeeded in breaking the old new one.   So I bought the cheapest camera I could find at Target.

I got a sony cybershot for 54 dollars on clearance.  I'm out to prove that I can take as good or better shots with a cheap camera as the expensive one....
It would just hurt too much, to ruin another expensive camera.....

how am I doing so far??

The Knight and I have had the same discussion. His iPhone 4S has almost as many megapixels as my several-years old fancy DSL-R...

WHAT SHELTER DO YOU SUPPORT AND WHERE WILL THOSE GORGEOUS KITTENS GO? WE HAD VERY BAD NEWS TODAY ABOUT THE FAILING HEALTH OF ONE OF OUR 2 AND I'M THINKING AHEAD.

Your pictures always look great, but I've noticed they seem very clear lately and the colors look brighter. Nurse/photographer son says a camera is a camera is a camera. It's what you do with it that makes the difference. He can coax a quality out of my camera that puts my pictures with the same camera to shame! I think you are very good at romancing a camera. Sadly, I am not!

Your new camera works great, Kathy! We just got back from Chicago last night and are trying to thaw out. Boy it was cold yesterday! Isn't it amazing how fast stuff frogs? I just ripped out what I'd done on a baby blanket the other day in what seemed like seconds. Bleh! Glad I did it though as there was a mistake near the beginning, not to mention the reason why I ripped....got ahead of myself on the pattern and it was getting real wonky. Not good. Like your newest socks!

Your photos from the new camera are good, and your bargain-hunting abilities are even better. Nice job!

I think you are going to miss those sweet faces: I know that I would.
