Mostly Yarn Monday

This weekend was all about the right yarn.
Above: Manos del uruguay on big needles for a cowl.

This is very naughty yarn.  It is CasBah by handmaiden.
It has a little bit of Cashmere in it...
When I got to Mosaic Yarn Studio 15 minutes before their doors closed on a Sunday,
this yarn was calling my name.
Thank God I had the ladies wind it.
It took them a half an hour due to a snag.
George and Linda worked like a team and wound this beautiful yarn into a behaving skein.
I came home and cast on anew...
I'm knitting a beautiful shawl...
more on that later
This yarn, the Souza, was wound uneventfully by me.
Then I began to knit with it and I realized, this is meant to be socks.
The way to colors seem to want to stripe, it just seems wrong, plain old wrong, to have it become anything but socks....
So it waits...
Finally, Fixie and Sprocket are nursing quietly here.
All of the kittens have been taught by Lucy Lou, to eat and use the litter box.   Still, they need to nurse a bit and she obliges them.

Spinner and Bonk, the black kitties, are just as adorable.
All 4 of them have a wind up key.  They bounce, literally, bounce around the room hysterically.
Ahh kittens, they are a joy!

What yarn are you knitting with today?

I bought some Lang yarn at Mosaic on Valentine's Day and well I thought I bought enough to make a sweater. I guess I w ill have to go back. I am also working on a shawl with some Twisted sister that I bought probably about 8 yrs ago. (I decided I was going to use up some of my stash).

This is my finals weeks, so I won't be knitting this week, but I have an almost done baby blanket. It's cheapy acrylic, but that's okay.

I can't get enough kitten photos!

Souza will make great socks for Spring - I love the colors. I just finished knitting with Manos, which I love.

Lucy Lou is such a good momma to the little ones. I'm impressed that she taught them to use the litter box. Way to go, Lucy Lou!

Still working with the Parakeet. Sadly, due to operator error (mine) spring pools didn't knit up like I had imagined. Still, I'm keeping it and may have to repurpose it when I find a pattern that moves me! Love the kitties!

No knitting here. Maybe if we get the blast of winter on Wednesday and I FINALLY get a snow day?

All of the yarn is gorgeous! I hope it all behaves from now on!

I'm currently knitting socks with yarn from Creature Comforts (etsy shop).

Have a wonderful day!

That Souza sure is a pretty color and I think you are right. It needs to be socks.

I'm trying to knit a pair of socks, but so far the patterns and the yarn aren't in agreement. :-( The yarn is called Dancing Leprechauns, but seriously, it looks more like Frog In A Blender.

OK! The yarns are really pretty! I've not heard of Sousa, but it looks perfect for some spring socks! Right now I'm finishing up some acrylic projects...and I can't wait to get back to my more LUSCIOUS yarns!!

Oh, the kitties...they look so sweet! Lucy Lou sure is a good momma! Is there anything more joyful than watching kitties bounce as they play? That always makes me laugh out loud!

Today, I'm knitting with red superwash wool. Making a pair of fat cozy socks for teaching a class. I really wish I could have one of those kittens.
You have me thinking of adopting a soldier. Is the website you shared the correct one? Or is it adopt a us soldier?

Awh, kittens! Wait, a question? Well, I'm trying to figure out how to make a gusset the way I want to make it, but I'm seriously contemplating giving up. Grr!

Love all your postings of yarn!!! SO nice to see. I'm not knitting with anything the past couple of days and my mood reflects it. However I did get some small Lionbrand Bonbons last week and the cuteness is carrying me thru!!

I thought the Souza was pretty, and then I saw the kittens. How SWEET.

Knitting with Chunky Mochi at the moment. A scarf.

I was knitting with a mitten with Lopi today. I am ready to switch gears into spring knitting but I keep getting requests for the winter stuff.
I love the color of that Souza. Can't wait to see it knit.

Sweet kitties! Those two look like my Gracie.

Love, love, love Manos! The Souza yarn is going to make gorgeous socks.

The little nursing kitties are precious!

I'm still knitting baby things with KnitPicks Shine. It's just okay but the Berry tart hat is going to be cute!

Eeeee, cute kittens!

I love your yarn, too. My current favorite yarn on the needles is Malabrigo worsted. So soft and easy to knit!

I am trying to finish up a scarf made from Noro Silk Garden Lite. it is lovely, but I am weary of working on it. Just a few more rows...

Your new yarns are beauties. I love how the yarn "tells" us what it wants to be. Sometimes my yarn does not speak loudly enough and only reveals its desires AFTER I have completed something else with it. I need a yarn whisperer!

Love that Souza color! Are you snowed in? Can you make it all melt before we get there on Monday? LOL I'm knitting with Ringo at the moment. It's quite crazy. Check it out! LOVE the kitty photos!!!
