A Little Bit of Knitting

This adorable baby cake was in our lounge at work the other day.
What did we do before fondant?
Truth be told I prefer the taste of regular frosting.
Has anyone tried the Cool Whip Frosting?
Al is a Pampered Chef consultant now and I just got my order.
I think my cake pans were the same I bought when I got married 30 years ago...
I ordered new cake pans and they are wonderful.

There is a layer cake in my future.
Did you see these wonderful new real life sized woman mannequins?   If I stop eating cake I could look like the fuller figured woman in no time.

Now that the kittens and mamma have graduated I have our room back.  This means I have the nordic track back too..
and it's calling my name.

As for knitting: I'm on a sock roll.
I'm casting on a two row repeat new sock today or tomorrow because the other ones I have on the needles are flying along...

Happy SUNDAY.   It is great to be off.

It is nice to see mannequins in regular sizes. If they put clothes on them, it will be nice to see how the clothes hang on "real people".

Enjoy the Nordic Track. I hit the gym this morning and actually got on the stair mill for awhile. I need work! LOL

That cake is adorable. What a work of art!
I also want to try that new frosting. I may have to make a run to the store to get some in the very near future as I am on a cake binge at the moment.

Cute cake.

Really? Real sized mannequins??? How cool is that? Haven't seen any, but I'll be on the look-out now.

Oh, a piece of cake and socks to knit...sounds pretty heavenly. I've got two pair of socks on the needles...so I think I could use a fresh baked cake and a good cup of coffee to complete the picture. I'll work on it. Exercise later.

I too love the look of fondant but don't care for frosting, icing or any of that too-sweet stuff... except German Chocolate coconut frosting. Yum.

I'm on Talbots advisory panel and every survey, I ask for more diversely sized models. I'm still waiting for the short one with more boobs and shoulders than hips... Hem. ;)

It is nice to see some "normal" mannequins for a change. I understand that some even have cameras in the eyes to track customers' behavior, determining how long we look at an item.

I prefer frosting, too, but I haven't tried the Cool Whip frosting.

Glad to hear that you eat cake as life's too short not to do so! What's your 2 row repeat sock pattern? It sounds interesting. We're off to walk outside as it's not raining!

Hugs to you,

What an adorable cake. I like fondant and I like icing. I like Cool Whip frosting too! In fact, since "someone" suggested that eating cake and being a few pounds over weight is a no-no I have craved it even more!!

I've never really had a problem with fondant. When my friend has made it, she's added vanilla extract to it and it tastes good.

I wonder when real sized mannequins will come to NH? I hope soon, but we seen to get everything (except winter) five years after everyone else!

I am dying to try the Cool Whip frosting! Have you used it? I wonder if it tastes good frozen, too?

I like the idea of real-sized mannequins, but don't like the ones with realistic faces. They feel a bit too much like they could be real. And imaging working in those stores after hours with low lights? I'd have nightmares of those horror stories where the dolls come to life.
