Permission to Cast on Please....

I've remained faithful to the "Blanket" all week.
Beatles wanted a bit of Blog time and if you look closely you'll see Tank's tail in the last image as well.

I have a few more days of knitting on this blanket to be finished.  I love how it is working up.

Can I have permission to cast on some little baby booties or something this weekend?
Tell me no.  Tell me to finish this blanket...

or Tell me : Permission granted.

Have you read Gretchen Rubin's Happiness Project?
Gretchen talks about how some people can only pursue on thing at a time....for example

Some of us can't diet and budget at the same time.  If we have to be committed to one thing, we simply can't do another.
I'm a bit THAT way.

I'm open to change!
Anyone want to give me permission to cast on some baby booties????

The blanket is gorgeous. Aren't you glad you changed patterns?

Since you are doing really well on the blanket, I give you permission to cast on a pair of booties

Sometimes I need a break so I don't hate a big project. Permission granted!

I was going to grant permission as well. When a project gets that big - I don't like dragging it along with me, so I start a small portable project - like baby booties. so - enjoy. g

Go for it. Women are great at multi-tasking.
Hi, Kathy

The blanket is beautiful. I could give you permission to cast on, but then you'd have unfinished projects like I do. (By the way, I saw you comment on my blog -thank you- but it doesn`t show up in my email; I wonder why that's the case.)

As for the "Happiness Project", I have read it. I'd like to start designing my own "happiness project" this weekend. Funny how you popped up with a reference to the book!

Oh, definitely! I think even the best projects in the world benefit from a little time apart! (Says the woman with 21 knitting projects...........)

absolutely cast on

what are the markers for in the middle of your blanket---just curious! It is very pretty!

What a beautiful blanket you're making!
Here's my experience with big projects- when I am tempted to start a new, simpler and quicker one, I don't. First I finish the big project, then I rest for a while, and then again I make somthing fast and instantly rewarding! This way I have the BIG project done, a smaller one done too and also found time to relax! How beautiful to see that I have accomplished so much :)
Hope this helps!
Monica
P.S If you want to pin my CD cases, go for it!

The blanket is really attractive, colors and pattern. It's going well. So, just because the booties are a smaller project and probably on smaller needles, AND would offer a change of pace, permission granted. You'll keep the blanket as your #1 priority, won't you??? LOL. I love the cats' interest in your progress too.

Do it! I have to have two projects so that I can skip from one to the other, but I always make sure if I finish a new project that I reach a certain milestone on the other before starting again. So, "Okay, I knit a pair of booties... no more new projects until I get 12 inches into the blanket."

I say do the baby booties and then go back to the blanket!!

In my case you are asking the original multiple project person so I say "go for it!" I really hate to think I'm the only person who can't abide by the single project concept. It's lonely out here!!

Love the blanket-so cozy looking. Baby knits never count as real projects so go for it. Can't wait to see them!

You have been so diligent at working on the blanket! I get so bored by these larger things I HAVE to cast on something else in the middle. So, permission granted, because I know I SURELY would cast on something else. The blanket is looking great!

Yes, why not?

LOL! I'm late here, Kathy. Tell me, did you cast on?? LOL! I tend to have a couple of projects going at once. One hard, one easy.

Your blanket is looking GREAT!!! I would have gladly granted permission. LOL! blessings ~ tanna
