WELCOME MINION B.

There once was a girl who loved cats
she loved them all - that was just that
This Guy is now Minion
and in our opinion
we hope he grows old and grows fat.
Welcome AL's Virginian kittycat....
he says Meow'll
Friend and AVON woman Karen, came over yesterday and gave me the honest news.  My log cabin was not going well.
So I ripped it out.
Well she ripped it out.
Then I Tried another method and ripped it out this morning.
I shall knit the above type throw, found on Ravelry.
I'll modify the pattern of course.

I didn't envision so much freakin froggin on my first weekend off..

but that's okay. Karen says good knitters do a lot of rippin'
(If anyone needs an AVON rep.  Karen's awesome just let me know and I"ll give you her link)

So welcome Minion, and welcome new throw pattern.

WHEEEEEEE!   I slept like a baby all night.

so sorry the cabin is not to be. I sometimes rip a lot to get 'perfect' results. Frustrating. happy to hear the sleep report. g

My log cabin met the same fate. Love the new project and the new grand pet, and glad to hear that you had a good night's sleep.

Welcome sweet Minion, he is a cutie. I started a log cabin ages ago, and ripped and ripped, I hated the seams and joins, it was not love all the way around. Go for the stripes, you'll be happy, or what a bout a ripple?

Bummer about the log cabin. It's brave though, to rip it all out.

The kitty looks like he is very happy!

I have never been able to do a Log Cabin pattern correctly. The striped throw is very pretty --- good luck.

Too bad about the log cabin! But that throw will be quite pretty :)

Well, Kathy, I'm glad you are getting rested up and are gearing up for a project that you admire. [ I have never tried a log cabin pattern before and am impressed that you gave it a go even if you frogged your efforts.]

I am about halfway done with crocheting my cowl hood and wished I'd had it to wear this Brrrrrry morning on the way to church.

Minion looks like a happy addition to your family and your blog looks especially cheery and elegant to me today : )
xx,
Gracie

Congrats on the night's sleep!! I love Minion's color and his expression! Please don't feel bad about Log Cabin, I have tried it several times and decided it is just not worth the hassle. I love the new throw!

I am sure the cat probably thinks Al is HIS minion. LOL

Yes, it is true. Knitters do a LOT of rippin! A LOT!

Minion looks like a great Virginia Grey Ghost. Have I mentioned how much I loved the blue point Siamese that adopted me?

Sorry 'bout the log cabin. The colors will be pretty, whatever it becomes. If it makes you feel better, I haven't knitted a stitch yet this year.

Congrats on the good night's sleep! Don't you just love friends who are honest and supportive AND do the frogging for you? That's always painful for me. ;) blessings ~ tanna

Cute kitty!
That frogging thing is true. I was at it early this morning myself.

Well, you gave the log cabin a try...or several tries. All that frogging...a bit painful. But, you have found a good pattern to use with all your beautiful yarn, so I hope it works well.

I enjoyed your poetry! Such a cute cat!

Minion looks just like my Russian Blue girls! His hair looks a little longer. Does he have yellow or green eyes? I LOVE him!

When you started talking about log cabin I told myself "Self, she is NOT going to like the log cabin." I do LOVE the new pattern you found....... nice! You will like it so much better!
