Happy 1.3.13

Happy fun numbers day. It is 1/3/13.  Since Fireman rides
Engine 13 at Station 13 I told him to declare a holiday.

Here are my Cherry Tree Hill socks in progress.  Oh I love this yarn.  It is my first time with Cherry Tree hill yarn....it makes my stitches looks even
it has a bit of give so it is painless to knit with
it working up in a blotchless way......
I have always wanted to try this yarn...
Look Out Lorna's Laces...
Friend, and lurker Karen is knitting this adorable owl scarf.
Can  you see the owls???  I love the yarn she is using.

Are you as wise as an owl when it comes to
Log Cabin Blankets ? I've decided that will be my next up
project.  I want to knit one for my family.  I've tried twice in the past and failed for various reasons.
Do you have any Log Cabin tips?
I have not purchased the yarn yet.
I think it will be my OFF night shift celebration purchase....

come on, don't be shy!

That Cherry Hill yarn IS beautiful... AND you are doing a beautiful job. Takes both.

Hope your hubby and his peeps celebrated the 13s!

Cherry Tree Hill is by far my favorite yarn: I love the feel and the twist of the yarn.

I tried Log Cabin knitting and didn't care for it. I didn't like the look of the wrong side.

I have Cherry Hill in my stash... maybe I'll knit with it soon. For Nancy to declare it her favorite inspires me!

I haven't tried Log Cabin. No help from me.

I haven't tried Cherry Tree Hill yarn...might have to give it a try since a couple of you girls give it high praise!

I haven't tried Log Cabin knitting yet either...not sure if I want to...so am looking forward to what you create.

No log cabin knitting here either.

I like your new socks.

My Mom knit my girls owl vests and used little tiny white buttons for eyes...... they popped out on the front of the vest.

I never even HEARD of Log Cabin knitting! I immediately thought of quilts... I wondered if you were venturing into the quilting world.

I will have to check out Cherry Tree Hill yarns. I've never heard of that, either, until now. See how you broaden our horizons, Kathy?

If I ever were to log cabin, I would probably have to do small squares. I would get so bored towards the end!

I love the owls! Will they have button eyes?

The colors of that yarn are beautiful.

I confess I have never knit a blanket and have crocheted only one afghan. I guess large projects scare me because I ask myself If I really "want to do this" every time I knit a sweater.

I love your Cherry Tree Hill socks. Such soft, beautiful colors! Great way to start a new year!!

It's funny . . . I've heard terrible things about Cherry Tree Hill yarn, but I love it.

Your new sock looks great!
