The Joy of Sleep and The Joy of Knitting for Friends Grandchildren

I love the sound of waves hitting the shore.  Many babies in the NICU have sound machines that have a wave channel.    Today I start napping at noon.  I nap until 5pm .  You would think that would keep me from tiring tonight, but 0400 is awful no matter how much sleep I get ahead of time.   Oh well, it is my choice for now.

I love to sleep.  I relish it.  I look forward to it.  Maybe because I work night shift.....
I dont recall loving sleep this much when I worked normal hours....I keep my bedroom dark and very cool to almost cold.   I keep a fan running on the HIGH setting.  Phones off and not even in the room.  I take my sleep seriously...very seriously.....:)

and the last topic I planned is the Joy of knitting gifts for co workers grand babies.  MY co workers are having babies and some are having grand babies.  Even if I just knit a stocking cap or beret, the gifts are  so well loved.   Lynn of Irisheyes past, knits our co workers adorable baby sweaters.........she's amazing though.

So the week of planned topics for me is over.  Guess what?   I didnt' like it.  I think I'm more spontaneous with my thoughts for posts each day.  So been there, tried that.....

I love sleep. I could sleep the rest of my life. Knitting things for people - not so much. I don't have many people to knit for, though! :X

I love sleep, too. But now that menopause is here I am not getting near enough and the quality really stinks. Don't ya just love getting older?
have a blissful nap.

I would not cope well with a rotating sleep schedule, so I salute you for working the night shift.

My goal this weekend is to finish the Reader's Wrap. I'm close: the body is finished and one pocket is nearly to length. That leaves the other pocket and stitching the two pockets to the wrap. It was my aim to finish it before the first snow, but that didn't happen.

Sleepy pies is my favorite. I never plan my blog either. For some, that works well for them, but I'm a scatter brain, so I just post whatever whenever.

The older I get the more serious about sleeping I get! Until about ten years ago I never went to bed before 11:00 or mid-night. These days I am looking at the clock around 9:00 and thinking how good it will feel to climb into bed and close my eyes.

I'm not getting enough sleep. I need to reset my clock, since Gretchen's isn't resetting! We'll all go to bed earlier...

I love the sound of water too...a great way to be lulled off into dreamland.

I don't know how you work a night shift...sounds brutal to me. But, we do what we must do... and it all works out.

My dear husband has several sleep disorders It is amazing how much damage can be done to the body by sleep deprivation.

Saw your comment about Coralee Candies on the Yarn Miracle site. I have family in Pontiac, IL and would love to know where Coralee Candies is located. I'm coming to IL at the end of the month.

Hi friend. All caught up now! I think your picture with the battleship is genius. I shall stand in front of gigantic things from now on.

:o)

Thinking of Al this morning.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! I see you have many cool cat photos too:)

My youngest was born prematurely by 2 months, so we are familiar with NICU. Thank you, thank you for the sacrifices you make to be there for your tiny patients! You are appreciated!

Blessings,
Aimee
