Kathy B on B's

This big buck trotted up behind us in Yosemite Valley.   Fireman and I were enjoying lunch in the meadow when he surprised us.   Isn't he beautiful?  I was glad he was not a Bear, at the time, yet the waitress we spoke to told us these are more dangerous than bears.  Well, she said the Momma Deer are serious when you get near their Bambi Babies.....I've always heard that males are goofy during their rutting season.

On the needles, a baby beret.  Sweet, soft and swift.  I'll likely finish it by tomorrow.   I think a saucer is going to be the perfect size to shape it over.   I should know, I gave a  few baby bath's this workend.  I love when their hair stands up all clean and fluffy after a shampoo.   I love the clean smell of baby shampoo in their damp hair.

Bambi, babies....berets.......all good here at Irisheyes .......all good.

Nothing smells better than a freshly bathed baby!! What a wonderful job you have!

You have to watch out for all those wild animals. They are quirky at best! Baby Bambi is what got Max in trouble with the mom. He limped for a week after their encounter. Glad the big guy left you alone!

Any mama (two or four-legged) can get beastie when their young ones are threatened. ;oD

Oh yeah, I love the smell of clean babies - operative word - clean. ;oD

Love all the Bs. Deer can be fierce, but I don't fear them and I do fear bears... and babies of the human sort. ;)

You were fortunate to get such a good close-up photo of the deer. Nice. Cute story about clean babies too.

What a beautiful buck! We have deer roaming around behind my house, occasionally a buck, but our deer are much smaller than those up north or out west. On my needles more and more garter stitch that never seems to grow!
hugs to you,
Meredith
