Amused, Easily

This Boat was aptly named, for someone......
It amused me.  I love a creative boat name....a cute license plate, a well named cat or dog.
Here I am trying to amuse you in front of the USS Wisconsin.  Nothing like a battleship to make you look a little smaller......I'm holding up my current shawl knit up.
Flying saucer knit.  Rather, the baby beret blocking on a teacup saucer....

What's amusing you today?

Not many boats with names around here, but I sometimes spy clever names on license plates.

As I type this comment, the sprinklers are watering the lawn for the last time this summer. I am enjoying their rhythmic ticking as they sway back and forth. So let it be known that automatic sprinklers amuse me. ;oD

This morning I was amused by falling leaves as I walked. We won't have much fall color here until the end of October, but an elm tree on my path has turned a little bit and the leaves were fluttering down like a swarm of tiny yellow butterflies. Yes, easily amused... that would be ME!

hmmm - what's amusing me today? The dogs playing. Toys lying everywhere. Self-striping yarn - loving seeing what's next.

That little baby saucer beret is adorable! Just darling! g

I haven't been amused yet today. Yesterday though, watching my fur-girls enjoy a beautiful, crisp fall afternoon walk amused me to no end!

I wonder if the owner of that boat is still married.

Cute baby beret! Can you imagine having to land a plane on that aircraft carrier? (At least that's what I think it is?) We spent yesterday afternoon being amused by Max.

So glad you had a lovely visit with your family. Virginia is a beautiful state, did you get to the mountains at all, or just hang out by the water? I am amused by nothing right now as I have a roaring headache and I just got home from work. You look too cute next to that big ship!
Hugs,
Meredith

Memories!! The USS Wisconsin was one of my Dad's ships. He was a master shipbuilder at Norfolk Navy Yard during WWII, responsible for all of the sheet metal that went into the ships. He traveled to Philadelphia to supervise the metal work in many of their ships, the Wisconsin among them. It brought back memories of him standing on the fantail of one of the big battleships. Thanks Kathy!!
