Northfield Farmers' Market Saturday

Have you tried the new hybrid corn?  SU, SE and SH2 genes were brought together for an amazing sweet corn.
Being a NICU nurse I see genetics in line and out of line and the like.  I wish we had a genetically engineered nurse.  She would stay awake easier, always look to families compassionately, and be able to see veins with a single glance.

The Cheese Table at the Northfield Illinois Farmers' Market is already perfection. Blue Moon goat cheese, how I love thee.

My baby blanket is a breeze.  I will show it to you after the Workend.  Garter stitch galore.

(If any of you want to follow Zach's blog while he is in Mexico, I'll send you a link)
He has the writing gene......

I love the bouquet of flowers - zinnas and cosmos just scream late summer to me and bring back a lot of wonderful childhood memories.

How blessed you are to have such a wonderful farmer's market! The one we have here in summer only sports a few local grown veggies, and it is already closed for the season. Not much can survive the heat we have going on in late-July and August.

And flowers... WONDERFUL! We don't have those at all at our tiny market! And your cheese picture has flung craving on me!!

I would love to follow Zach around Mexico. What a wonderful experience for a young man! It will be great to share it.

I love visiting farmer's markets when we travel. A great way to get to know the area. My favourite one is in Bellingham, WA.

Aren't Farmer's Markets great? We just went to one in Mt. Vernon, WA, yesterday, and then to a great knit shop also...all before walking down to the beach at Deception Pass. A really fun day.

Still laughing at your ideal nurse..I'd sure vote for the vein quality!

We never miss the farmer's market in Holland Michigan when we vacation each summer. I just love the fresh produce and the abundance of bouquets...Someone always has the most amazing dahlia's.
