Friends to Knit With

 This Is Kathy C's Bag....
 This Is Karen's bag.....
This is Kathy Cs Kate Middleton Shawl based on the Milkrun Shawl.  Kathy used Alice Starmore's Hebridean 3 ply yarn .   She knit this beauty in just 3 weeks.
She did a variation on the theme.  I love it -  The colors are washed out in this last image....the image taken in the shade is true.   She knitted with a luxury yarn and the cost of the shawl is about 70 dollars.  It is thick and warm and Kathy will wear it until it is worn out.  She loves it.

I am always always inspired when I knit with others.   A friend to knit with is a real joy.   When I think about the clicking of the needles, the pulling up the yarn from the skein, the
pauses in knitting and the pauses in talking it humors me.  We cannot talk to one another while we are on our computers, while we are watching television intently, or when we are reading a book.   We can, however,  chat away furiously while we knit together.   Chatting, knitting....it is all good.

So true! Knitting with another knitter or a group is a real blessing! It's sad that it has been a long time since I have had anyone with whom to knit and chat.

I love Kathy C's Milkrun Shawl. I have the pattern and need to find the right yarn!

Beautiful shawl, happy bag, and one day, I will have friends to knit with... and time to see them!

Great shawl and such a pretty color. Gosh those bags make mine look pretty pitiful; I especially like the black flowered one. My knitting group fell apart, and I miss it....need to do something about that.

I also love knitting with others, I'm struggling to find a group in my new area, hopefully it will happen soon! You have wonderful knitting friends!

I look forward to Tuesday nights with my knitting group. It's so much fun to see the projects progress from week to week, and of course, to see the final reveal. I love my knitting buddies.

Great photos of your friend's shawl and all the colorful knitting bags. What a fun post!

I love this post and it is so true. I have friends I knit with, I think so much more can be said with needles and yarn in your hands. Glad you have these lovely women to be friends with.
Hugs,
Meredith

I want those cute bags and I want that shawl!!!

Everything you said about knitting with friends is so true. I don't have any that are close by me and so I can only imagine what a joy knitting with others is. The library has a knitting group but it is during the day time when I work.

I guess I will just have to come and visit you.

Glad you all liked the shawl. The only way I finished it in 3 weeks was that I set the goal of completing if before the Olympics were over, and worked on it every time I watched an event.

And I cherish my knitting buddies!
