Knit earrings from Al....I love em
Sock yarn from Beverly's stash bust sale....even better in person
Neighbors tomatoes.....ripe and ready for the salsa, soup, sandwich and salad.

Turning 52 has me thinking:

*I have to start moving and working out again.  Let's face it, since Huck died I hung up my shoes.  I hate working out.  I always have.  I love when it is over for the day.  I'm crabby if I can't work out first thing and move on.  I hate to sweat.  I hate to change outfits all the time.   Even if I work out, I wont be a size 8.

* I used to have a treadmill and I made myself get on it almost daily for 11 years after Zach was born.

*The ipod should make working out more tolerable.

*I hate the workout but I'll like myself more.

Turning 52 has me thinking.....I can give it a half hour a day....

But it aint gonna be pretty.....

I just started working out again too! We can both do it, it will be difficult but we can do it! I'm kind of a weirdo, but music doesn't make it easier for me, but podcasts or audiobooks really do!

Scheduling exercise is the only way I motivate myself to get out of the house and MOVE. Lately, I've been lazy, so I must get back in my morning routine.

The yarn and earrings are great, but oh my, homegrown tomatoes are divine!

Cute, cute, CUTE earrings!

Love the pretty yarn. That is a beautiful color. Do you have plans for it already?

As for exercise --- I'm right there with you, but if I didn't exercise I'd be as big as a house.

Love those earrings and the yarn too. What a great color! Wish we could grow tomatoes like that.... We try to walk every day...up and down our hills. Not too bad except when it's raining!

Do you have a Wii? I'm not fond of working out either - but I love playing the Wii fit games - especially the hoola hoop. Worth a try. g

I so know how you feel. Since I have been in menopausal he** I am so tired and I really can not muster the energy to work out most days. Working out does not give me more energy. I love to walk Max, but he can't go far due to hip problems. I know I need to get moving so I am healthier as I age. Love the earrings.
hugs,
Meredith

Start with 10-15 minutes a day and work up. I'd come walk with you - and hand you Sissy's leash! - if I could. Sis made me run about a mile of our walk today. (Don't tell the Knight... and yes ma'am, I had on my ankle brace and it is fine.)

So funny!! I also hate working-out! I did an intense 1 to 2 miles in the pool every day when I was swimming competitively, but that was fun not work. Maybe it would helps to call it a "fun-out." Nope! That doesn't work either.

I love the earrings!! And the yarn is so yummy! Better watch out for Chan. She'll come and get it if it's pink.

I need to start working out as well. I keep thinking this is the week, and then it's Friday and I think next week will be the week.

We do work out our hands and fingers when we knit. That has to be worth something.

Love the earrings.

You can do it, friend! Make a goal and move towards it. No, it isn't always fun. Get yourself some cute workout clothes, it really does help. Starting is always the hardest part!

Don't give up!

I HATE to "work out". If your 52 ain't pretty think about my 57! It is almost hopeless!

Let me add another one to your complaint list (I loved all of them)

I am on medication that slows my heart rate and metabolism.....so how the heck am I ever going to get in front of THAT issue?

Life is short. Jesus will take me when He wants - I will try to eat healthy and stay mobile etc. but I have just about given up on hard core exercise.

I am what I am.
