Way Behind The Rest of YOU

The workend afforded next to no knitting.  So I have nothing new in knit land to show you.  It was an awesome weekend nonetheless, because Zach arrived oh so safely in Mexico to study abroad.  I realize I continue to catastrophize despite my best efforts not to do so.  Why WOULDN"T he arrive safely? People travel all over the world every day.  Planes are not a new invention.  Yet,
I could tell I was breathing differently once we got our first communication from him.
Onto real challenges: I have colored rainbow jello to create today.  We planned a FAMILY bar b que 2 months ago with sisters, nieces, nephews and their little ones.  It took us awhile to find a date we could all celebrate together.  That day is tomorrow.  Little did we know, our own adult children would not be able to attend!  Life' s funny that way....

You are all way out ahead of me with Olympic watching and knitting.  Now that the workend is over, however, it is full steam ahead.  Multnomah shawl, I hear you calling!

Pretty jello - and I hate jello!!

Happy reunion.

It reminds me more of candy than jello. Guess you can tell what's on my mind these days. Not much knitting here, and my house looks like a tornado went through. It's time to put things away, vacuum, and dust. :o(

Oh - I love the pretty jello salad. It makes me so happy! I haven't had it in years.

I know exactly how you feel about your own adult children not going. Sigh. Hugs. Have fun with the rest of the family.

Love the pretty little rainbow jello. Looks like fun. Enjoy the family BBQ. For the record - I do the same thing - go straight to the worst possible scenario. Glad the worry was for naught. g

Glad your boy arrived safely. Of course you were a bit nervous until you heard from him, you are a Mom. Have fun with the jello.
Hugs,

I haven't started watching the Olympics yet, either. But you're the second person who I've seen today mention Multnomah... Maybe this is a sign that I need to queue it...

Rainbow jello, I've not made that in years, but I know it's not a quick project! I've been enjoying the gymnastics and swimming events, so there's lots to watch. Isn't it interesting how we continue to worry even after our kids are grown..and in my case raising kids of their own?

I love family get togethers. I've never made rainbow jello but I love the way this looks.

I'm Olympic watching and knitting. Sadly more of the former than the latter.

Love the Jello.
Only making a sad attempt at knitting here late in the evening when I finally sit down and not usually watching the Olympics either but I made no promises to do either!
Have a great BBQ!
