NPE Syndrome

Yesterday, this amazing WINGSPAN shawl arrived as a gift from Kim who reads this blog.
It came on a perfect day.  It felt like a huge hug in the mail.  Kim I cannot thank you enough. I am still overwhelmed and overjoyed.  HANDEYECRAFTS is Kim's blog. We've been following each other for a few years.  Aren't the colors great?

AL arrived safely!  To all of you who've given me so much support, I'm so grateful.  The knit gene goes along with a syndrome you know: THE NPE syndrome  (nicest people ever syndrome)
We come in all shapes and sizes and colors and the like.   For some the syndrome starts at a young age, for others it starts late.

It is characterized by the need to knit, knit for others, knit with others, knit at all times of the day and night.  We are a lucky group.  NPE just seems to be infective.   Just being around a knitter can activate the gene in others....

It is kind of like a magic power.....
and it makes life very very sweet.

Truly lovely - but then, so is Kim. Where it in good health!

Beautiful. Getting some love in the mail is a special thing.

I'm getting the overheated weather whiner syndrome. Need to knit more.:-)

I've discovered that NPE also seems to make the best friends because some of my very best friends have NPE.

Love the shawl. That pattern is being knit by several in my knitting group. It is very attractive on all body types.

I love that we all have the NPE gene. I've been lucky enough to meet a few fellow bloggers. They've all been fun.

I have never met, or been involved with, a sweeter, more thoughtful group than knitters. They come through for you every time, just when you need them.
