Tuesday Talk

First fire pit fire of the season the other night .... very peaceful. No bugs, no bats, no coyotes. We have had many coyote attacks in nearby towns this spring. We see coyotes in town from time to time; I think they are beautiful. The attacks unfortunately were on dogs both big and small. We are far from the ranches of the wild wild west, but we have been warned to keep our pets on leash and be watchful.

The most recent Life Is Good Shawlette was completed the other night. Now don't fall over, but I have cast on for socks. This is by no means, the end of the shawlettes, just a pause....

Al and I are going to knit at a favorite patio establishment today. Hackneys On Harms. Have you ever been in our area and eaten at Hackney's? They were featured on Diners Drive ins and Dives. Hackneys is famous for it's deep friend onion rings that come out in a brick shape..... I usually have to take TUMS before I indulge in them.....I will take pictures of Al's knitting....it is always more interesting than mine.
Al missed Mother's Day per say, but called me that day. I know she loves me whether it is Mothers Day or not, but this is our little Mother's day lunch. Saturday night she surprised me by bringing 3 quarts of ice cream to my work before she went to her work. My wild child, she has grown into such a beauty. Zach, ever calm, the quiet child played harmonica at church for me on Mother's Day. I am one very lucky Mom.

Sounds like a lovely day ahead. I have never been in your neck of the woods, but will have to remember your DDD when we get there.

We haven't had a fire in our firepit in years. In fact, just the weekend - I was saying I really wanted to create an outdoor room on our deck - but unless it includes a weatherproof tv, I don't see the hub joining me. g

A brick of onion rings sounds yummy...

Coyotes are a problem in our area too. Shudder.

Oh you are a lucky Mom. We have coyotes, too. I haven't seen any for a while but I know they are around. One night a while back I heard this hideous crying, I thought it was one of my boys so I raced upstairs as only a Mother would. Silence. I heard it again it was outside just behind our house, you guessed it coyotes. I don't know if they were mating or killing something but the sound was so eerie. No one heard it but me.

You are blessed!! Nothing is more rewarding and comforting to a mother than to have her children grow into caring, loving adults.

We had a coyote come into our backyard last year. He jumped the fence and walked through the yard to the front gate, then jumped over that. Just like he owned the place! I worry about Macy and Max!!
