Bleaching....

I've bleached the shawlette scarf. I got the effect I wanted. The yarn change is less dramatic now that the whole thing was bleached...When it dries and I put it on, I'll decide if it was the correct course of action. I wish it would have bleached out more. Why is it than one drop of bleach can ruin a sweatshirt and a bucket of bleach water barely does the trick?

The flowering trees in Chicago are amazing this week. This Spring has truly been like
a fantastic painting. Well that came out wrong. A painting is supposed to mimic real sights, not the other way around! You know what I mean.....the beauty for the trees and flowers makes even the tiredest alleyways look lovely.

It is the workend.
I am ready. Sometimes the focus required at work is a welcome relief to a mind that wonders with worry at home. It has been a tough two weeks. I'm seeking calm. I'm seeking focus. Doing my job well is a great reward in many many ways.

The quiet of the night shift when there is no light from the windows and the inside lights are low, is also a welcome thing. We may have storms, which I find so calming and soothing.
I think if I seek peace I will find it.

Happy WEEKEND to you all. Wishing you some peaceful knit time

I need peaceful something. Our walk was just ended abruptly by a neighbor's dog who just wanted to play and Sissy just didn't want him trying to hug me, and Gretchen ...

Well, she wasn't QUITE as terrorized as one might have expected, but I'm still exhausted in every sense of the word. The Knight raced to our rescue, arriving right behind his friend, the dog's owner...

I think it is wonderful you seek and find peace at work. I do too. Sometimes playing with my little ones with special needs takes me away from all my worries (which are quite a few!) Hope you find peace tonight and calm during the week.

Peace dear friend! My prayer for all of us this weekend is for peace!! I hope things improve for you next week. AND for what it is worth, I think you did the right thing with the bleaching. It turned out beautifully!

I understand completely what you are saying about finding peace at work. I won't say that it happens all the time, but when there is stress and worries here at home, I can't wait to get to work and pray that the day gets very busy and my mind gets involved and the worries seem to fade..... if only temporarily.

But I am able to find perfect peace with prayer.

And I too do love the bleached effect better. Can't wait to see it on your shoulders!

Bleaching doesn't affect the integrity of the yarn? I have never attempted this. Hope you found peace you needed!!!
