(Al's got the color gene...her new dining room lavender and living room purple!) -
I don't know why BLOGGERS new format won't let me make paragraphs. Somebody help me please!!! - Today's topic for the 3rd Annual Knit and Crochet Blog week is: COLOR.-
I went to these new blogs for some color inspiration: - I love finding new blogs to read. ...... wooldurham a pile of sheep whatzitknitz ripitgood and figheadh.com. From Fig's blog I was able to find a great free cowl neck pattern that I will be knitting soon.
- Irisheyes Lynn must have known that there was NO pink in my stash. She graciously found me at 0650 this morning at a patients bedside and gave me two luscious skeins of pink Lorna's Laces....just because. She's tired of them in her stash.....Oh Lynn. I think this was the best moment of my today. -

So it is suggested we talk color today. Well here's my thoughts on color. I go in phases...like everything else in my life. I WORRY about color. When I am gift giving a precious hand knit, I worry worry worry about color. What if they don't have anything to wear with this fuscia scarf? these lime green hats? or that violet shawl? (Well shoot if its for Chan she'll just buy something to go with it. Love that girl) - Truth is, I fall in love with the color long before I knit anything. Never the other way around. Hmmmm perhaps I shall try the other way around. -
I'm always attracted to blues/greens for my stash. I have never liked bold primary colors. I couldn't watch the Stooges because they were in black and white. My favorite part of the Wizard of Oz besides the tornado of course, is when the screen changes from black and white to color.

I love the lavender and purple rooms. Beautiful!

If Blogger won't automatically paragraph you can "fudge" it.

Go to HTML tab. At the end of the sentence where you want a break, type
.

It will give you a one line break for each
that you type.

Okay --- the second one didn't work either.

Type a < then a br, then close with a >. Don't make an spaces between the < br >. That should give you paragraphs.

I love color, well except rust. I go in stages and am obsessed with a color for a while until another catches my fancy. Love Al's walls.

PS: I've started using Windows Live Writer to produce my blog posts... much easier than dealing with the blogger tool. And it's a FREE download! LOVE it!

I had to fight a while with the new blogger also. Don't know why they fix stuff that's not broken, do you? Great photo of Lake Delevan~is that in WI, near Elkhorn? I worked at the Chicago GS camp on Lauderdale Lake many moons ago. Those were fun summers!
Love your new header! Is it stained glass somewhere?

Will Al come paint my walls? I'm not brave enough and after painting my bathroom "Pepto pink" while we were still dating, the Knight refuses to paint in anything other than eggshell anymore...

love the colors in the room. I always say it's just paint. Paint it - if you don't love it - paint it again.

What a wonderful gift of bright pink yarn. I love some Lorna's Laces.

As for color - I go in spurts too. Will knit nothing but blues for months, then pinks. The hexis are helping get me out of that habit.

i tend to knit with the same color for periods of time, then all of a sudden its a new different color, right now, a lot of golds and blues, not together but in seperate projects.

Al's new home is looking really stylish! I love the colors!!

I must admit to mixing colors that probably shouldn't be mixed. I just love color and sometimes get carried away. Oh well, at my age I can be eccentric and get away with it.

Great wall colors! Not too bold, but not boring, very sophisticated ... that's what I'm shooting for when I attempt to pick colors but never quite achieve. So impressed!

LOVE those colors! I cant seem to watch the three stooges because of them, not the b&w! LOL I can handle bits and pieces of it, but not the entire movie.

How did a post of color send me off onto the stooges?!?!!?
