Super Bowl Weekend

I WOULD LOVE YOU TO LEAVE A COMMENT>

So much for the Bears and our Bear gnome.....
To all of you who are having fun with the Football Game this weekend, I wish you great knitting and great munching.

The cabled sock is really fun and coming along nicely. Photos soon....Thanks for the encouragement and permission to put down the lace.....(Fireman thanks you too)

Here is my favorite bread machine recipe that I am using for tonight:

Milk Bread

2 1/3 Cups flour
2 T sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 T butter
1 cup milk
( i use skim)
1 tsp dry yeast

This recipe is taken from Panasonics Bread Recipe Book.

If you need a munch recipe for Sundays' festivities here you go:

The old Vleveeta Dip with a twist.....

Cut a pound of Velveeta into 1/2 cubes
(I think this recipe covers all the food groups....in some twisted way)
Thaw and drain a 10 oz package of frozen chopped spinach
Cut up 4 oz of Cream Cheese
crisply cook and crumble 8 slices bacon

Open a 10oz can Rotel Diced tomatoes and Green chilies undrained....

Mix all the above and microwave on high 5 minutes

Serve hot with tortilla chips or cut up fresh veggies.

This a a Kraft Velveeta and Rotel ConAgra Food Recipe.

And as we like to say here in Chicago, there's always next year......
enjoy the commercials and the half time show.....
I'm working the workend, but I'm sure we'll have chips and dips in the lounge.....

Thanks for the recipes. I have made the dip, and it is delicious!

I rarely watch the Super Bowl (I'm not a football fan), so hopefully, I can get some sewing done while it is on.

The recipes look wonderful. I may try the cheese dip for this weekend. My big Superbowl offering for our gathering will be cinnamon pecan scones but there will be plenty of chips to dip in the cheese!

Your poor gnome looks like he has had too much football and needs a rest. Can you believe I have never had a gnome. When the family asked what I would like for Christmas I told them "a garden gnome" but I still didn't get one. I can't complain--I got a Kindle Fire. I'll get a gnome later!!

Kathy, my internet connection has been funky all day and I can't get to email, so a public 'letter' to let you know Jennifer's swap box has arrived. So much fun to open. She did a great job. As to this weekend, I will not be watching the SuperBowl, we are 7 hours ahead of Chicago, I do not care for any game that much! lol I have to finish the second sock for my dad's socks and get them in the mail for Valentine's. That is my game plan. Helen

I got the yarn for Katherine at

The owner is on vacation right now so if you order, she won't ship it out until after she gets back.

Hello Kathy! Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Those flowers you asked about are artificial and I believe I found them at Walmart or Joann Fabrics. I wanted something in red and blue, only not real bright red or blue and that is what I found. I love them too. thanks for your compliment on the hexes. I'm having fun with them when I can find the time. looks like your gnome partied too much, lol. I signed up to follow your posts.
Have a great week,
Susanne :)
