The Mom Cave?

For starters today, I'd like to thank a girl who is a light in our life right now. We didn't meet her until today, but she is showing Al a great kindness. There is something very powerful about being a light for each other in this life of ours. Usually the person who is the light, doesn't even realize it. I am always impressed with the power of one little flame when our electric goes out and we light that first match. It chases the darkness to the corners of the room, and that is what this young girl has done. I think I better knit her some socks....

Beatles is surrounded by my next yarn. I sort of snatched it from Grace when she had a sale....could these colors be any better for a grey Chicago knit up in February? I really shouldn't cast on another pair until I finish the Simply Ginny's but I have to give my hands a break. As slick as the new needles are, they are too stiff. I need my woodies......

and finally, I heard the term MOM Cave today. It is supposed to be the equivalent of the Man Cave for a woman. It is a silly idea, that a woman needs a whole room before she can relax......we all know all she needs is a pair of needles and some good yarn.

I WOULD LOVE YOU TO LEAVE A COMMENT>

What could be better for February than sunshine yellow? Can't wait to see your sunny socks!

I agree that we need more angels in the world. Even better, can't we all be angels for each other? We would just wander around smiling and knitting socks for each other.

I have a Mom cave! It's called the kitchen. Oh, and there's also the laundry room!

Love the sunny yarn. I am desperate for a Mom cave. It seems like everyone in my house has their own space but me. My husband has a workout room and an office. My son's their own rooms. I would love a craft area, with a comfy sofa and a TV all to myself!
Have a great day,
Meredith

Such a bright and festive yarn.

I have a Mom-cave, but I really would rather knit in the middle of everything. So, usually I'm in the family room.

My Mom-cave is Stephen's bedroom and I haven't refinished the walls or carpet yet. But, I will. Then maybe I'll spend more time in there. Right now it's mostly just storage for all my needlework stuff.

I think the firehouse gym is my cave. I realize the day crew uses it, but on Crew 5 nights, it's mine, all mine. No dogs. No one else holding the remote.

Much as I love my husband and walking with my dogs, there's something fabulous about just getting on the elliptical and running and running...

and our Mom cave is portable, we can take it with us and find serenity in any location. I am so grateful I fell in love with knitting!!!

ANd yes repay your angel with socks, we must always remember to show our gratitude, even though it is never expected it makes it easier to continue spreading the love.

my mom cave would have to include a hammock or an oversized chair and ottoman for napping. it,s always good to have a friend to help you see more clearly.
