The Absolutely Mindless Use Up Your Stash Feel Good SImple Cowl
I'd love to say it was all my idea, but it wasn't. I saw an image of a skinny scarf-cowl made up of leftover yarns and it pointed a knitting finger right at me.
I have lots of shades of blue sock yarn leftovers. I cast on 48 stitches and picked up some yarn and started. I did a provisional cast on. I have to have live cast on stitches to kitchner together when I am finished knitting.
I have knit about 23 inches so far and it has been completely and totally mindless. While some would go absolutely nutty with such simplicity, my mind likes it some days.
On another note, a nurse I work with was using another hand lotion that is new to me: Smitten's Lush. She wanted me to try it. It was nice. It was alright. It works for her. It had a slight scent which was very nice.
My yarn thought for today: If you are bored with January, join a yarn swap. At least the mail gets interesting!

Neat idea!! I like that...
I love the scarf/cowl and the bright turquoise thrown in! I think I'll try it. My favorite hand and body lotion is Origin's Ginger Cream.
I can not see it again-----why does this happen to me, I still have not found a hand lotion that actually works
Great idea. I got about a ton of yarn.
pretty, pretty. good idea.I have gown to love cowls more than scarves.
Good idea! How long will you make it?
Judy- Im not sure how long I'll make it. I will try to post the image of the one I have seen made tomorrow. I looped around twice on the model . (s a short loop and a longer loop)
I love simple knitting or crochet, it is so relaxing and yours is beaqutiful.
Nice idea! I made socks once with lots of leftover sock yarn. I like this idea too.
WOW! Your cowl is starting to look nice.:) I think it will be a warm one too.
