Yarn fight

I don't have any knitting to show you today. (What? was that a collective sigh of relief?)
I have been fighting with my new yarn since I started with it on Tuesday.
This is a long fight if you are me.
This means all I've knit for the past two evenings, has been ripped out.

I'm going to win this fight. Today, new sock yarn, I will cast on again!

In the image is a alapca scarf gifted to me from my friend Jen who brought it to me from:
Peru. The minute I put it on to thank her, all my collective histamines raced into action.
I'm considering allergy shots for wool. .......
My friend Linda is an allergy nurse.....
Say I do get to keep knitting until I'm 83 like my Aunt Elanore.......
Say it takes two years of shots to conquer the wool itch...
I think I could win that fight too!

Is there a fight you are going to win soon???

Well, there are two not fun meetings tonight, then one that is serious but includes catching up with a friend tomorrow, and THEN THE WEEKEND!!

Oh my--so sorry your allergies are bothered by that lovely scarf!! Of course wool doesn't bother me so I could wear it....

Keep up the yarn battle. You will win! Yarn gets stubborn every now and then but it is just a matter of showing it who is boss.

This fall, I have been struggling with some unknown allergy. I keep hoping the cooler weather might help, but it doesn't seem to be working. I see the doctor tomorrow for some relief.

That scarf is really gorgeous. Maybe it could double as a very small lap blanket?
Good luck in your sock fight! I am going to win the fight against all the clutter taking over my living room... maybe. Eventually.
