The passenger predicament

Lots of car rides in the last week, means lots of car knitting! It also means Fireman doesn't stop for cute or interesting camera shots. I have to use my camera on the fly. The little white house was taken at a complete stop. The blur of green was taken going about 50 mph on a country road.....

What is your best shot taken from a moving vehicle???? I'm not complaining, I prefer he drive.
But there are times, I think, oh what a cute picture that would make for the blog! and...then
we whiz right by it...

We have been to Chicago Lincoln Park and back, Milwaukee and back, Lake Delevan Wi, and back, and last night Crystal Lake and back all in about a week. That's more than we usually drive in a month. We are very spoiled.

I work 7 miles from home. Fireman works in the town we live in. We do not spend near the amount of time in the car that others have to.

Fireman will ALWAYS stop for a coke for me, though. I think I"ll keep him.
Happy Friday

It's those little things like stopping for a Coke that make them indispensable! I wanted diet vanilla Pepsi and DH went on a search for them. Didn't quit until he found them over a week later. Yep, keeper!

No pics from moving vehicles but my best shot was DS#4 flying about 15 feet in the air on a ski slope in Taos. Catching air!!

I've travelled with my sister and brother-in-law quite a bit and have many blur shots. My brother-in-law used to mutter, "Can't stop now, making good time," but in recent years, he makes frequent stops which allows me to capture more than a blur. Life is too short not to stop and capture the memory with a photo.

how sweet he'll stop at all. my guy will only stop for gas...and only if I'm worried we're going to run out!

I've had pretty good luck taking photos from moving cars - as long as I have time to focus the shot and push the button (pushing the button takes a lot longer than I think it should!) I especially like to take photos of state signs. like this one.

The chief has to drive unless he's not well. Then, he's a rotten passenger, unless he falls asleep...

No pics from a moving vehicle, but he rolls his eyes when I say the photo (of whatever) is for the blog anyway.

Love the white house. Very cute!

Yeah .... he sounds like a pretty good guy. You should keep him.

I love that house. Wouldn't it be fantastic to live in it?

What a great time of year for a car trip. My husband is from Wauwatosa, Wi, and I have lived in Oconomowoc, Wi. Lovely area.
Happy Friday to you,
Meredith

I love driving and riding. Some cameras have a motion setting. I use it to minimize the blur.

I love the white house.

Meant to ask you where Verona, WI, is. I used to spend my summers working at a GS camp near Delevan, WI. Car-knitting is the best, don't you think? DH is our resident photographer so we don't have many on-the-fly photos, except for my attempts.....
