Hissy fits

I finished the Ella Rae yarn beret and scarf today. I can't decide who will get the set, but I do know I'll be very proud to give them to a friend. The Ella Rae yarn has reminded me of the colors that water can be in the summertime, whether pool water or nature's water. I cannot say enough about the yarn itself. I bought it at the beginning of summer at 3 Bags Full in Northbrook. This yarn doesn't know how to pitch a fit. It just un knots itself if a tangle comes about. It has a bit of spring in its step and is so so soft. (The Beret is yet another from NOT JUST more SOCKS book by Sandi Rosner. The lace scarf is the simplest bundle of 6 rows garter and 9 rows yo, K2 tog.) My mouth is sore today. Tried an omelette this morning. If you know my eating habits you know I do not like eggs. But when they are outnumbered by cheese in omelet form I do love them. I have been having a malt a day. Cottage cheese. Tonight's dinner is cream of wheat....oh and coffee is just so darn good right now. Today was the all time high for hisses around here. All in good time, all in good time. Fireman and I are so enjoying having a baby around the house again..kittens are so dang easy!

I can't remember the last time I had Cream of Wheat! My mom would make it for us when we weren't feeling well. I still love it.

Beautiful knits! I bought some Ella Rae (I'm assuming the same ... type) but I gifted it. Hmmm... might need to find me some.

I remember eating cream of wheat growing up but now I prefer oatmeal.

The beret and scarf are gorgeous! Any one would be proud to wear them and say, "A friend made them for me."

I'm looking forward to cream of wheat when the weather cools a bit. I can't stand to turn on the stove in this weather (still triple digits) but I did boil a dozen eggs last night.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. I'm Making Bunny Rabbits

  These are the one square bunnies .  They are a free pattern on Rave1ry.  I'm bunny making to force spring to come.  I'm a1so taking it easy on my hands again.  The med we tried did keep my hands from shaking, but it was a med for a med. and that's crazy town.  I can contro1 a hook much better than need1es.  It wi11 have to suffice for now.  I'm enjoying your b1ogs and your Spring.  This time of year I so want to 1ive in a southern state.  But this Spring is a new one for me and I'm going to find a way to 1ove it.   IT may have just gotten to 50.   Degrees.  I have to run.  There's very ear1y yardwork to do.   The birds have 1eft a rotten mess of sunf1ower she11s under the feeders.  I hope it is not frozen!  Have you been switching things up in your neck of the woods?   I haven't forgotten you, b1og pa1s.  I 1ove seeing you on Instagram .

Do You Smile When You Knit???

I am pretty sure I smile when I knit.  I'm going to think about that today when I pick up the baby blanket in progress.  I am also pretty sure I cry when I knit; well, not really.  I have shed some tears over the years but they were way back.  I surely scowl when I drop a stitch.   A time lapse of knitters' faces would be interesting enough .... Tank, aka Helo, is starting to smile around here.  Just look into those aqua eyes......they make me smile all the time. He is half Siamese and all gorgeous.
