Ramblings

I have only questions today.....I'm not sure of much of anything other than I will sleep in my own bed tonight....

Should I knit another beret? I have an entire skein of Ella Rae extra in those dreamy ocean colors. I decided Yesterday when I had no questions, that I was done with the lace scarf in Ella Rae. Today potato chip knitting is begging me to cast on another beret.....

Should I have a gum graft. What? That came right outta left field! My mom is slipping a teensy bit, so today's conversation jumped around just like that.....I think I'm still in stream of conscious mode....
The periodontist says yes. Ever had a gum graft?

Should we adopt little Beatles? The poor doer kitten? This is a ridiculous question. we know we will. Come Monday, (it'll Bea alright) he'll be freed from the bedroom upstairs with his siblings. His siblings, one of whom is the pensive little Sweet Tea pictured above, will go to their adoptive home. Come Monday......I'll be a foster failure.....and I'll have a little black kitty for my October decorations....a living centerpiece.....sort of...with the coolest green eyes.

There are no silly questions and all that now that school is back in session for the real world right???

right! there are no silly questions.
Don't know about a gum graft.
Sometimes we get hooked on knitting something and want to knit it forever, lol. Well, not really forever. but I've found if I want (feel like) knitting something, I should "just do it" 'cuz I'll obsess over it until I do.
Cute kitten by the way.

DH has had two gum grafts. Not fun, but necessary.

I'm not surprised Beatles is going to stay with you. I'm thinking you've had a soft spot for him from the very beginning.

Congrats. You're not a foster failure; the heart knows what the heart wants.

Can't answer any of the questions. No decisiveness happening here.

Of course you know you can't keep all the animals you foster, but what's wrong with keeping one? As long as you know your limit.

No to the gum graft.

Owning a black kitty is good luck, so of course it's a no-brainer question :)

As for the gum graft - I think if doctor says yes, and you can afford it, consider it a necessary evil :( I've never had one, but my dad has.

1. I love seeing your berets!

2. My sister had a gum graft, and while it hurt to begin with, it saved a lot of future (and more expensive) problems - as many of the commenters here have indicated, if the periodontist says yes, you probably should.

3. You know your limitations. Adopting a cat is a big responsibility that will be with you for many years - not unlike a child. But as you foster cats, I'm sure you already know that. I am assuming that being in that environment, you understand that it would be awful to commit to what you cannot handle, and end up returning him to the pound. But... assuming that you are ready for the leap - a cat is always a happy addition to a home!

why would you be a foster failure, if you are giving it a home, that makes you a winner in everyway!!!

If the gum graft comes in spearmint, go for it.

Just stop before you get to six. The fur increases exponentially after two and the cat politics change. (also ditto to what Grace just said)
