Knitting Time just Ahead

I don't know if the periodontist found any encrypted messages in my teeth last night, (A Serious Man Film image). If he did find a message I hope it was my Nana's favorite riddle:

Thirty white horses on a red hill,
Now they chomp
Now they stomp
Now they stand still.

All in all it was a good time at the gum graft yesterday. I love that laughing gas....I tell you I could FLY the plane on that stuff. At different points I felt like there were a thousand marbles in my mouth and the hour after we got home was a pulsating pain throbbing workout.
But a little more than directions call for of ADVIL and a lovely ice pack and I was settled an hour later. Oh and I hadn't had any caffeine so the headache was throbbing in synch with the mouth ache.....

Nothing like some lukewarm fresh coffee to snap out of it! No talking is allowed for the 8 hours post procedure. I had a BUZZ AND WOODY grease board and was writing fast and furious to Fireman.

He had to go back in to work, but delivered a wonderful vanilla malt, for sustinence, to me.

I have to say while I was hearing the drill, and sucking the laughing gas as deeply as I could at that moment, I tried to think of something soothing....and seriously, my knitting came to me.
I pictured those plastic red needles that one of you gave me in a swap. I adore those cheapy needles. I just imagined knitting stitches with those two needles.....

was it the laughing gas or the knit memory? Who knows? Here's to soft food for more than a week. Time to go and knit now......that beret is going to make an appearance here very soon!
You know I want to sink my teeth into that Ella Rae again...

Glad everything went well. And you get lots of knitting time. I think I'd have a shake a day! it's the best soft food, lol.

Oh bless your heart (as my Mom would say, LOL) I hurt for you! 8 hours of no talking?? That would not be possible for me. So glad you are resting and knitting. Heal!!

Knitting and laughing gas certainly would make any dental procedure less painless. ;oD

Happy to hear that things went well. Today, you'll have to knit without the laughing gas AFTER you get some needed rest.

feel better quickly my dear friend, you are a stronger person then I!!!

Once I had a tumor removed from my throat, it was caused by 2nd hand smoke but non-cancerous (Thank God) and I couldn't talk for 8 hours,it was quite near my voice box area, try and discipline 3 kids when you can't yell!!! No actually they were great and helped me out a lot

Oh yeah ... laughing gas and an I-Pod! GOOD TIMES! LOL

Hope the recovery goes well. Enjoy those shakes and malts.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. I'm Making Bunny Rabbits

  These are the one square bunnies .  They are a free pattern on Rave1ry.  I'm bunny making to force spring to come.  I'm a1so taking it easy on my hands again.  The med we tried did keep my hands from shaking, but it was a med for a med. and that's crazy town.  I can contro1 a hook much better than need1es.  It wi11 have to suffice for now.  I'm enjoying your b1ogs and your Spring.  This time of year I so want to 1ive in a southern state.  But this Spring is a new one for me and I'm going to find a way to 1ove it.   IT may have just gotten to 50.   Degrees.  I have to run.  There's very ear1y yardwork to do.   The birds have 1eft a rotten mess of sunf1ower she11s under the feeders.  I hope it is not frozen!  Have you been switching things up in your neck of the woods?   I haven't forgotten you, b1og pa1s.  I 1ove seeing you on Instagram .

Do You Smile When You Knit???

I am pretty sure I smile when I knit.  I'm going to think about that today when I pick up the baby blanket in progress.  I am also pretty sure I cry when I knit; well, not really.  I have shed some tears over the years but they were way back.  I surely scowl when I drop a stitch.   A time lapse of knitters' faces would be interesting enough .... Tank, aka Helo, is starting to smile around here.  Just look into those aqua eyes......they make me smile all the time. He is half Siamese and all gorgeous.
