I won big today too! Al and I visited Donna Boucher of Quiet Life today. Yes, yes this is the pretend friend Donna who I met at the Cub game a month ago. I couldnt' stay away. She is so amazing. Katie, her daughter is just a doll. Al wanted a road trip and Donna obliged.

She made us a delicious good old layered salad...the incredible one with the mayo and sugar and parmesan dressing. We went on a yarn crawl as that was my agenda...
The Sow's Ear is a must see shop in Verona Wisconsin. If you want a small charming shop with a coffee bar inside, you've got to go here.

Katie is a near professional yarn winder. She will happily crank away until your hank is a lovely perfect cylinder. Katie and Donna, what fun we had. Funny thing is, Donna will be in my neck of the woods tomorrow. DONNA the door is always open for you!

TOmorrow I'll post about my swap with Channon. She sent me a wonderful wonderful swap box.

Some days hold so much joy.....today was one of them (sorry no images. Blogger wont post them tonight for some reason.....)

Congratulations Dorothy! So happy to hear about your fun yarn crawl. It is rare to find a shop that will wind yarn, and so perfectly. I love those little round cylinders, especially when they pull from the center!

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I'm Making Bunny Rabbits

  These are the one square bunnies .  They are a free pattern on Rave1ry.  I'm bunny making to force spring to come.  I'm a1so taking it easy on my hands again.  The med we tried did keep my hands from shaking, but it was a med for a med. and that's crazy town.  I can contro1 a hook much better than need1es.  It wi11 have to suffice for now.  I'm enjoying your b1ogs and your Spring.  This time of year I so want to 1ive in a southern state.  But this Spring is a new one for me and I'm going to find a way to 1ove it.   IT may have just gotten to 50.   Degrees.  I have to run.  There's very ear1y yardwork to do.   The birds have 1eft a rotten mess of sunf1ower she11s under the feeders.  I hope it is not frozen!  Have you been switching things up in your neck of the woods?   I haven't forgotten you, b1og pa1s.  I 1ove seeing you on Instagram .

Do You Smile When You Knit???

I am pretty sure I smile when I knit.  I'm going to think about that today when I pick up the baby blanket in progress.  I am also pretty sure I cry when I knit; well, not really.  I have shed some tears over the years but they were way back.  I surely scowl when I drop a stitch.   A time lapse of knitters' faces would be interesting enough .... Tank, aka Helo, is starting to smile around here.  Just look into those aqua eyes......they make me smile all the time. He is half Siamese and all gorgeous.
