Answer in the form of a question.....

Fireman is reading Kitchen Confidential. I am learning so much from him. He tells me all kinds of interesting tidbits from the book. No ordering fish on Mondays anymore.....Have you read this book?

My neighbor Abby mailed me the peacock image. Isn't it amazing? Her granddaughter is in the foreground.....I haven't seen a peacock in years and years...have you?

I am knitting a hat from the book Baby Beanies by Amanda Keeyes. I am sorry to say that the weight of the malabrigo yarn and the circular needle motion is causing some wrist pain. TIme to stop.....do you have an ache or pain today?

I found a pattern in the new KNITTY that I want to knit. It has been a long while since I loved anything from Knitty. It is the neckerchief scarf. I am casting on with the gorgeous silk yarn that Major Knitter just sent to me. The pattern says guage is not of utmost importance in this pattern. I love those words. They may be my favorite words in a knit pattern. What are you favorite words in a knit pattern?

peacocks are beautiful but somehow when dawn is just breaking and your neighbgors peacock has gotten under your bedroom windows and starts keee-owwing, they just don't seem so pretty anymore.

I've always been amazed that such a pretty bird has such an awful voice! I read Kitchen Confidential quite a while ago...interesting but kind of graphic. Off to check out the pattern!

I like when the pattern says, "Save time, check gauge." Okay, I know I'm supposed to, but I don't. Then I end up with something way too big or too small. I do it all the time. Will I ever learn my lesson?

Yes, I actually HAVE seen a peacock recently. Two of them were walking across the firehouse parking lot a couple of weeks ago.

I was a bit surprised to see them there among the chickens. LOL

I might have to get that book. Looks interesting.

My DH read it, and it's on my list. No more fish with strongly flavored (vinegar, blue cheese) sauces anymore, either. Although I think there are places that do good brunch.

We rarely eat out at all on Monday, so fish isn't a problem.

Several neighbors growing up had peacocks. Haven't seen any in years.

I don't know that I have favorite words in a knitting pattern.

The "crick" in my neck is much, much better, and that's the only ache I have today!

My favorite pattern words: "knit in round", "pick up stitches", and "no seams". That's why I knit so many gansey style sweaters.

Our neighbor down the road has peacocks and they're louder than the rooster next door. I love hearing the rooster, the peacocks not so much.

I love his show "No Reservations". Can't say I was planning to read the book but if it's any good I might.

We used to peacocks behind our house when I was growing up. I saw some a few years ago at fiber festival on a plantation near Charleston. You forget how gorgeous they are until you see them showing off.

I like the gauge not important words too! My least favorite are "short row."

Last time we were at the zoo a peacock followed us to the car. I think he wanted to go home with us. We told the security guard about it as we were leaving and he said, "Oh they try to break out all the time."

I always knew about not eating fish on Monday, especially at the Sushi Bar.

Love the peacock!

Our little zoo keeps them loose and they stroll all around the park. When they get to talking, the donkeys start braying too!
