Color my World

You cannot be a cowardly lion to live in Chicago in winter. This image was shot midday today in Oz park in Lincoln park. No editing was done to the color. That is the color outside our windows these days.......no wonder I had to eat a ham and butter sandwich on sourdough at the Bpig Cafe for lunch. It was, quite possibly, the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Grace when you come to Chicago we have to go there.......they have an entire wall of loose tea jars to pick from.
Perhaps the lack of color in our world made this granny square sweater catch my eye. It it a Territory Ahead sweater. Would I wear it? Well, I don't know.....would you?

I would probably have to be tiny like that model (which I'm not) or I would look like a walking blanket.

Both my children, and both at age 3, went through INTENSE Wizard of Oz phases. If there's a statue of the Scarecrow somewhere, my son (now 22) would demand to be taken there.

Tell me more about creches. I don't know the symbolism.

YOu have to bring your son to Lincoln Park area and Oz park in particular. Statues of the scarecrow, tin man, dorothy and lion adorn the little city park.

I'll stick to Chi-town in the summer...

I wouldn't wear that jacket, but it is bright and cheery!

I know what it's like living in a grey world - London is just like that!

I love the colors of the jacket. I'd probably make a blanket in those colours.

I've heard about the Bourgeois Pig and must try it. I love anything on sourdough bread! The granny square sweater--not so much.
