Calendar says '11 but we are stuck on 10

The Cubs have this little gut wrenching slogan this spring: The calendar say 11 but we are stuck on 10. For those of you who don't get it, it means the year is 2011 be we are stuck on number 10 , Ron Santo. Sweet huh? So we can have a few more heart pangs....I guess .. Aren't we sad enough?

No major League Stitch N Pitch planned for the Cubs again this year.......bummer. But if you are in Daytona on April 23rd you can Stitch n Pitch at the Daytona Cubs minor league game....

I may have to go to Milwaukee for the Brewer's Stitch n Pitch game on June 21st........

so I'm hungry for baseball......and it is only February! Until April I will have to keep knitting to Blackhawk's hockey games....and an occasional Bull's game.....

Are you a sports knitter?

I WOULD LOVE YOU TO LEAVE A COMMENT>

I was saying to DH a few nights ago, "I guess it's hockey until I can get some baseball." I love game knitting! I'm planning a new summer sweater for baseball and call it my Cubbie Cuddle.

The Stitch and Pitch sounds like a lot of fun. No baseball teams here, major or minor. :o(

Stitch & Pitch is great fun! Definitely worth going to. Too bad the Cubs don't have one this year. Your post prompted me to look up the other teams and it looks like the Blue Jays don't have one this year either, that's really too bad, I went 2 years ago with my Mom & some LYS friends & had a ball!

I am a game knitter, and a Nascar knitter too.

Oh, god, yes, I'm a sports knitter. Football is my great sports passion, and is an excellent time to get lots of rows done. But the very, very best sport to knit to is NASCAR. If you have to look away for a minute or two, it's doubtful you'll miss much.

I don't usually go to sports games, but I knit while watching the Super Bowl on TV.

I enjoy knitting while watching most sports on TV (mainly soccer and tennis). Today, I took my son to his first soccer match and I got no knitting done as I got totally engrossed in the match!

I knit all the time so I yes I'm a sports knitter. I love college basketball which I am watching at this moment and can't wait for March Madness. Baseball not so much unless my nephews were playing.

Absolutely! But for me it's football. Last night I was thinking that it's an awful long time until August when football starts up today.

However, today I'll be knitting to NASCAR! While I'm not really a big fan anymore I guess you HAVE to watch the Daytona 500 when you only live a little ways away from Daytona. LOL

No, I am not a sports knitter. I love to knit with music on the background though ;-)

But I can make an exception for the Tour de France :-)

Response to your comment: yes, weather makes things much worse with the fibromyalgia. Right now, the biggest problem is that Houston weather is not consistent. It's cold one day and hot the next. It just keeps me going in cycle after cycle of pain.
