Progress on the knits and the pup

I love this colorway! Minerals in Tye Dye or vice versa. Did I tell you I was equally happy with the customer service from Yarnmarket? I did phone orders with both Yarnmarket and SimplySocks and the service was quick and accurate.

I may sneak in an emergency dog leash knit this week. I need a leash like I used to have when Huck learned to heel. I'm thinking felted I-cord. What is stronger than felted wool???? (puppy teeth of course) I have some wool tucked away........
The leash is sort of a loop instead of a typical longer leash.

Cricket and I are going to a training class tonight....
My goal: Not to get into perfection. Not to use any harsh methods. No choke collars, no leash pops.
I need the structure of a class to get motivated. My old trainer is wonderful, but her classes are weekends and
that is when I work. Just giving it a try.

Huck was always the STAR of the class. There was a sign in a store today that read: well behaved dogs are welcome...
Cricket stole a toy from the first bin and later tipped over a cylinder of 3 foot long bully sticks.......
I don't know why I find this so amusing. I hope my sense of humor accompanies me to the class tonight.......

He already knows....oops there I go. Suffice to say he's working hard and having fun at our house.

(by the way Katherine I am going to follow a blog comment on and on, for fun soon....great idea......I'll report where I started and where I ended up)

Do you think I can stay relaxed at class????

I talk more in the comments!

What a fun sock! A felted i-cord leash sounds great...I don't think I could stand to knit that much i-cord though (but who knows!)

Awww, Cricket is quite a little devil, huh? I'm sure he'll be a wonderful student though. If not, remember to take a deep breath - and LAUGH!!

I'm sorry... dearly as a I like Cricket and reading about doggy knits, you lost me (obviously not thoroughly) at the yarn. I must have some of THAT colorway. MJ looked up from across the room and wanted to know if you'd dyed it for me. Giggle!!

Oh - and have hope. Sissy was THE model student, only because she is such a DIVA and thrived on praise and being the dog chosen to demonstrate the new skill or whatever...

I love that you let him shop for his own toys! Macy loves to go to the pet store but I wouldn't take Max there on a bet.

Dog training really does require a good sense of humor.

I love the Tye Dye colors. Those are going to be great socks.

That is a great colorway. You have to let us know what it is.

Good luck in class. Fudge was the start of his class, but it didn't translate well to home. Here he thinks he rules the castle. Wrong!!

I love to watch dogs shopping at the pet places. They're so serious about looking for just the right toy.
