My new project.....I'm inspired

Lynette at 3 Bags Full found just the right thing to inspire me. I am going to make this pretty drapey wrap. I can't knit another thing with 1s or 3s or I think I'll loose it. The pattern is LOLA from the Book Knitovation. It is really really difficult. That is why it is made up of a few rectangles....Seriously I can knit this. I already had the Great Ad. yarn in my stash.

Was it the knit find or the new jeans that actually fit me or the 79 degree sunny day here in Chicago that has me happy today?

I've been meaning to bring this up. What is it with dry cupcakes and cakes lately? I paid 75 cents for a darling cupcake at a chic little Chicago bakery. I took it home and saved it for after dinner. I couldn't wait to enjoy it. It was so dry and I was so disappointed. The last few tries at bakery cupcakes have been so disappointing. Do you buy a cake that is moist and wonderful? Where do you buy it from? Or do I, gasp, have to make it myself.....

I love the wrap. It should be a fun knit! I don't know about there but here Costco has moist cupcakes and cakes.

Love the wrap. Need more info, I think, because you know, it's not even been 24 hours since I cast on for something new...

Wait - warm sunshine, a pattern that makes you sing, AND jeans that fit? I'm jealous.

Cupcakes. I mostly make my own, but we have a couple of little awesome bakeries here in town...

Oh yes, you can absolutely knit that!!! Go you! A break from small needles every so often is a very good thing.

I bought a Red Velvet Cupcake from Starbucks the other day - and was really really disappointed in it. No flavor - not even in the cream cheese frosting. Geez, if I'm going to go through the trouble of finely tuning my insulin pump delivery to handle a cupcake and not ruin my blood sugar, I'd at least like to enjoy it. What you really need near you is a Crumbs. http://www.crumbs.com/cupcakes Expensive enough to only buy on a very special occasion, big enough to make four servings from one cupcake, and the best tasting treat you'll ever find!!

i have found that myself, i just make my own now and use either applesauce or pumpkin puree in place of the oil/butter and they come out wonderfully moist! (you can freeze them unfsrosted as well or send the leftovers to work with hubby)

The wrap is indeed beautiful!

Best to make cupcakes yourself

I love your inspiration! I say - go for it! especially if you have the yarn already.

Cupcakes - I mostly make my own as the kids have quite simple tastes - lemon cupcakes or vanilla cupcakes.

Nice wrap. Good luck with your new project.

I rarely by cakes or cupcakes unless it is a special occassion. Too many good bakers in this family.

We have had some store bought that were disappointments and we always let the bakery know so that we got a replacements.

The wrap looks really pretty! I was wondering if you have a Ravelry page? I would like to look at your sweaters to see the ones that you love the patterns! :)
